American 'bacco stores ordering snus for you?

hey, I'm from Oregon and of legal age to purchase tobacco, but I don't have a mailing address I'd be comfortable using. I'm going to have to call around but do you think that Toba co shops are willing to make personal orders that people can just go pick up at the shop? Thanks, loving the site and really hoping to procure some snus.

It depends, hoenstly.

I have a guy that said he could get me SM products because one of the suppliers he uses carries SM product snus.

I would have to order in bulk though.

Which isnt bad, but i would only do that if this tobacco thru mail ban passes because i wouldnt want to worry about my snus expiring. ( I hate freezing my snus, seems to lose flavor and character )

I would just ask around local cigar shops and talk to the managers at local convienient stores and see if any of their suppliers carry Swedish Match products ( this would be the most popular and more prominent ) or BAT ( british american tobacco ) and others.

Doesnt hurt to ask them, just be ready to have to order in bulk and pay a good bit in taxes.

Well, I checked out two shops today, and one store said the only Swedish Match products they carried were like timberwolf snuff, and that they could make special orders, but they won't. Which I don't know why. The other place is getting camel snus fairly soon, but I want the quality stuff.
I was wondering if you guys had any other possible solutions? I really want to ditch the snuff and get the snussin on.

I don't know your situation but maybe you could rent a P.O. Box or go to some sort of UPS store. Have your stuff delivered there for pickup. Short of that or having it delivered to a friends house, you just have to talk to some tobacco shops and see if they're willing.

One store I went to said they didnt use a supplier that carried SM products.

I told him that I had checked on the web-site and it stated that you used a supplier that carried SM products. And explained to him my situation.

He told me he couldnt order such a products based merely on the fact that I needed it and no one else.

I was like, " Dude, im not asking you to invest in a product, im offering to pay for it and then you order it, you arent risking anything, im the one paying for all the stuff."

He still refused.

What a dick.

So i went on to other stores and eventually found a guy who was pretty happy go lucky and was like, " Sure man. Hell, you just let me know when and I will contact my supplier and give you a list of all they carry."

Maybe I've just got bad timing. Every tobacco store I've asked to supply snus is indifferent.

It's usually some low brow hourly employee who could care less. The most effort I got was a nice lady who looked through her Supplier list and when she couldn't find the few brands I mentioned wrote them down for her reps.

I had one girl actually "pretend" to write down what I wanted on scrap paper in between chatting with her zit faced friend about the new lottery tickets.

I would imagine even the Swedish Match reps in the U.S. are more focused on cigars, chew, and dip. The logistics of supplying snus by conventional methods probably aren't cost effective for so few consumers.

I for one will place another trial order with that company in P.A.

I'm actually going to place an order for half rolls of Phantom Blue lös, Offroad Cranberry lös and Icemint lös from GetSnus.com tomorrow. Partially because I want to see the expiration dates on these. The General lös I got as a free can last week had only a month left on them 11-20-2008. Same as buying from the local place. The free can I got in 3 days which was crazy fast! I'll post the findings soon.

I think it really does depend on the shop and the owner. I've found that there are two different types of shops: the ones who pretty much just sell cigarettes and various accessories, and the ones who are true tobacco shops whose customers are real tobacco "enthusiasts". The latter is the type of shop I try to buy from. The store I go to is old world style, with recliners, cigar cutters laid out on end tables, and even spitoons!

A while back, I really wanted some General wintergreen, which he didn't carry anymore, but he told me he would order rolls of it anytime I wanted.

I love that place. 8)
