There is one thing that I have learned about people and it is sad. Most people don't care. Most of the ones that do care are too scared to open their mouth about it. Don't as me why it's that way. It just is.
I would be willing to bet that right now Northerner is pulling in money hand over fist. I bet they make such a profit that what anyone on this forum thinks don't mean jack. Know how I know? Because no one from northerner has been on here to address the issues. What it boils down to is take it or leave it. Threats don't mean crap to them and me/us complaining has quit carrying any weight. I have noticed buysnus running sale after sale on snus.
far as suing goes. anyone can (try) to sue anyone for anything. The party being sued will have to spend money to fight the case. Unless the person being sued can prove fraud, etc then the person suing won't owe them a dime if/when the judge throws it out of court. The person being sued always loses to one degree or another, almost always. At least in the states that's how it works.
I could sue you for replying to my post and a judge would have to at least check into my claim. the world has gone insane.

My experience is that the new website is more challenging to navigate and has some glitches. For example, my default shipping address would not load but my credit card billing address would. I had to change the shipping address thru the helpdesk. I did get a response and the order was received about 2 days later than I had intended. Not perfect but I did receive a timely response and I did receive my order. However, I do know that making a shopping cart/webpage redo is often fraught with issues until the bugs are worked out. I would expect the issues to be resolved albeit not as fast as we would like and deserve.

I am not advocating suing anyone, to be clear, but when a company takes money from hundreds if not thousands of people then provides absolutely nothing in return and ceases all communications, that is not grounds for legal action? I think everyone affected should simply file a charge back with their banks and take their business elsewhere, but it does seem like they are setting themselves up for very serious consequences with this absurd behavior. Good thing they aren't crack dealers downtown, they'd have been shot on day 2!

Only other recourse would be to sue for breach of contract in not delivering your order, but that is just for the order thats not arrived, not on behalf of people who happen to have had a bad time with them at the moment.
I would be interested to hear what grounds the poster feels he has to sue them for other than for not delivering his order, remedy will be a refund of the order. I would also be mindful of attempting to sue for damages from the only source of snus for us in the EU, if they went under we would be screwed! (execption would be if they have mucked up an order and not refunded you).
So people think before you act!

And you know what worries me.......... this time it seems different than all the times before.............maybe that is just me...........maybe it is just that we are hearing about it more from places like facebook............ regardless ..........I don't ever remember people joining our forum simply because they needed an outlet to vent about their order problems............this just seems bigger......... on many levels..........

but not blindly
I root for them to get it fixed and make things right...............because it is the decent thing to do……...and……....because I root for all things snus.......

For clarification ... and to bring this back on thread ... I think Northerner have been at best misguided and at worst dishonest in recent months. People should just take their business elsewhere - but I think there is nowhere better than here to vent our spleens and stop other people having similarly shocking service from this non-company.

I didn't take it too seriously ... I just think about these things ... a lot at the moment.
I don't believe we have a good government in the UK - nor in the EU ... but it's the lack of trust that I believe is the root of all the ill things in our society at the moment ... and i don't think we should put up with the erosion of our trust whether it be from Northerner, the corrupt politicians and bankers, or Jimmy Savile .... it's all bad! Bad because it's all bad service, corruption or just plain evil - but ultimately bad at an even deeper level because it denies us our ability to trust our fellow men.
Despite all that I think we should still trust most people to be honest and take them at face value because to do otherwise is to give up on decency. The dishonest will have won if we don't.

All you need to know about Europeans (and despite the EU I include myself in that) - it's all about trust and honour, not money and distrust. Good manners, good business practice, good government, good everything is all about maintaining high levels of trust in society ... and we really resent it when people take advantage of our trusting nature and make us more cynical ... because that way lies a society that needs guns.
I resent Northerner because they have made me more cynical and more distrustful of companies on the internet. The actual spoilt snus I received can happily go in the rubbish bin and I won't use them again. I remember when whatever it was with snus in Europe was going on and they were just flat out of stock they atleast let us know. Aside from that I only placed a few orders with them but they were all terrible experiences. The first time i placed an order my credit card number mysteriously got stolen (defintely not saying it was from their site but it was right at the exact time) another time I got a box of the complete wrong order. Instead of 50 cans of various thunder ettan and jaks products i got 40 cans of general portions. Now i see their prices have gone up and their overall caring has gone down.
Edit: come to think of it I think it was rickcharles that had to tell us their stock was just flat gone.
