So, they put up an announcement on FB. Believe it or not, there are people who aren't on FB. So why don't they put an announcement on their website? Maybe I'm just being a bit t'ick.

The difference in snus shops online are like night and day. I am loyal to prices and fast delivery. I feel for all that are caught up in the mess, but it has been a problem for far too long.

We are sorry for your trouble.

We are sorry for any problems you have had with our new site. We encountered some problems when we changed to the new shoping system. Most of the problems have been fixed but we think it is best to keep you in the loop and answer some of your questions.

We have changed the bonus system for the new site and we will compensate you for your bonus points. You will receive coupons that will compensate for the lost bonus points you had on our old site. Your bonus points have not been lost, they are just converted to fit the new bonus system.

We are very sorry if your shipment has been delayed. When we did the system change we had some technical issues which has unfortunately caused some delays. We are doing all we can to get orders out as soon as possible. Please note that your order status will be pending until your entire order has been shipped out.

Our support team has also been swamped with questions because of the problems with the new site and there has been delays in the response time. We are doing all we can to get orders out as soon as possible and to respond to tickets. We ask you to to have patience in this matter.

We are aware that there has been issues with account access. We have been working hard to get this problem sorted and it should be resolved now. Please note: You were never logged in to someone else's account, it's all about page-caching. But please let us know if this happens to you again.

If you hare having trouble finding your country in the drop down list make sure that you have selected the correct site view. The site view is located at the top right of the site next to the text "shopping to".

Once again, we are really sorry for the trouble you have had and we appreciate your patience. We will do our best to rectify the situation.

    Kind regards

    The Northerner Team

On facebook a few hours ago. It's nice to get some sort of explanation and apology, I'm just hoping that my shipment arrives in the next few days! Though I don't really care because they now offer a lot more to be shipped to the EU (Hello Goteborgs Rape)!

I just received a letter of apology from them including explanation for my delayed shipment. I would like to believe it is sincere, because, to tell the truth, there aren“t many other options for the EU snusers available. I am a member of the closed shopping community and there is still the O. site, but with snus2 recently closed (no international shipping any more) the avenues of opportunity are getting dangerously narrow and I hope there will be more than one option left. It is more difficult for the nazis to lock us out that way.

If they remedy the current situation in reasonable time, I think I will continue buying from them. For the reason I stated, and for the range they offer, which is much wider than the other available options. Even for a higher price. In the long run it might be a good price to keep snus flowing into the EU Warsaw ghetto.

I wonder what Frank has in mind? The longer the glitches continue the better he ought to make his new promotion system. That might help draw back some of the people that refuse to deal with them anymore.

I'm still waiting for my order from the 27th. it doesn't say pending or shipped. and my emails go unanswered. Luckily I know it will be resolved.....someday.

And then there's SnusCentral. No loyalty program, but they tend to be a touch cheaper than Buysnus. I think it probably comes out even with Buysnus' loyalty program.

Yea currently there isn't any promotion at northerner. forgot to mention that. But Frank promised us a good one soon. He also promised to give out discount vouchers or something to cover any lost points in the changeover.

Buysnus system is just how I mentioned. buy 6 rolls get 50% off of one, buy 6 more rolls get 50% off. In the end you buy 12 rolls and get one of those free. So you bought 11 rolls. And that free roll is the cheapest of the 12.

    Hey Heapbag where ya been?

Buysnus started that sale at exacly the same minute they raised ALL their prices by about $5 a roll average.

so you can expect northerner to follow suit soon after they get the new site working properly.

Northerner and Buysnus will be close in price except for the short time when one actually raises the price and the other finds out.

My advice is to always do mock orders on each. When deciding keep in mind that northerners point system is just slightly better than Buysnus's. At notherner you buy 10 rolls you get one free...at buysnus you have to buy 11 rolls and its actually a discount on your order...which has its problems. If you place an order for 12 rolls one of them will end up being free...the problem is that their system is set up to select the cheapest rolls of the order. sucks....but at least they have a points/discount system.

From a Canadian perspective I noticed that the price for shipping loose snus was far cheaper on Northerner's new website than Buysnus. Unless it is some sort of "glitch" on the part of their new site, it cost a little more than $9 to ship 1 roll of loose on Northerner compared to $17/$18 on Buysnus.

I've been a loyal customer of Buysnus for quite a long time now, but if true than Northerner is currently offering the best overall deal for me. I put in an order in spite of all the talk about issues with Northerner. Put in an order for 5 cans of Pioneer Loose Snus yesterday (never had it and have always wanted to try it). I hope my order goes through without a hitch.

By the way I've noticed since Buysnus have ended their 8th Year Anniversary sale that there prices have gone up. I'm just looking for the best deal. Pretty hard to do with a virtual oligopoly occurring with online snus vendors.

oh yea, it's smart to keep the value of your shipment under $200. Value is defined as what you paid, not listed prices. packages with values over 200 get flagged sometimes.
Tobacco tax is miniscule here so no real worries. About 4lb of snus on Northerner costed me about $6 in tobacco tax.

With all this EU stuff I think they are shipping most of their stock to the US warehouse so they can continue to send orders to the EU albeit with less reliable shipping. At least they will be able to still provide some kind of service to us over here.

This doesn't help anyone in the US who is also suffering from their corporate brain-spasm - and of course it doesn't excuse the blatant lack of service and customer service to go along with that ... but it may explain it.

Just my musings on a Saturday Night.
Makes sense. It's not ideal, but I'm happy enough to order from the US if it means I can still get snus., BUt they should tell us, as there are implications on customs, and delivery time that we'll have take into consideration when ordering.

It is for proctoring your goods through customs at an expedited rate. They serve as your agent during the customs process.

The fee is already included in their price (it is one of the reasons for the price hike in shipping after PACT). Somewhere on this site there is a price breakdown (or link to one) that includes this as a line item.

So they are not only being ballsy............they may in fact be purposely double charging their customers. Regardless, it is a violation of their contract with you. You cannot agree on a firm price and then change it after the fact.

Which brings us back to Lx's circular file
