I added about a tablespoon of water to a can of Gotlandssnus Green that dried out (had it in my refrigerator for a month because I was too in love with other snuses). Now the waiting game begins to see if that made it any better. Does anyone else have a problem with Gotlandssnus drying out? and since the can is not sealed like other cans are, how can I avoid it drying out in the frige?

I use vacuum-sealed containers or the Ziploc Freezer vacuum bags ...
seems to be the perfect solution to the drying-out problem.
(and both methods are reusable!)

It takes a solid three days or so to get the full effect of the hydration you just performed.
I always thought Gots was a drier snus to begin with but now I'm thinking that it's the portion material that I think could use a bit of improvement. It feels cottony to me even when it's fresh. If you haven't tried and Gottlands Los you are missing out on something. I think the los is much better though I've never had Flader los. I understand it's out there somewhere but trying to get something good in the US, especially MA is like trying to push a watermelon through a chain-link fence.

I also use the vacuum-sealed containers for the fridge and have had over 16 cans open, Some for well over a month and no drying out whatsoever... I did have a couple of cans going a bit dry before getting these containers and used the ghetto can humidor method of putting small holes in the can under the catch lid then stuffing A little paper towel under the catch lid and wetting it with purified water and that worked out great...

one or two drops of coffee does the trick for me. Every morning I put the portions that I will use that day in a smaller container [a tin from minis] then I put 2 drops of coffee on each. I like my portions real moist.Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

You keep All your snus in the freezer? Even the ones you use daily? I thought i read you where supposed to defrost over night otherwise the portions would lose taste and dry out even faster, I also read that going in and out of the frozen can will let air in and even dry out frozen portions... Never tried keeping frozen and take out of freezer and use...Originally posted by c.nash View PostI keep all my snus in the freezer, so it doesn't really dry out. :P
