    Star Pattern

I like the star pattern. Triumph Mint was the first time I had a can that had it. General White now comes like it too.

    Lös of course ;^)

I really like the presentation of the star pattern, but for use I like regular portions better. I find the star less comfortable, and harder to get situated correctly. I think SM should use the star for premium products only to differentiate the line, and use standard portions for the other snus.

I agree with lx, though I love the black portions on say, onyx and grov I find the wedge shaped portions uncomfortable and always end up squashing them into regular shape!

I've never run into the star pattern, but I fluff 'n fold so it wouldn't make any practical difference to me. I think it does look a lot nicer, though. Plus it's easier to get them into the shape you need because you always have the same starting point. For those who just pop portions in without fluffing them, isn't the chaos of a non-star pattern just as hard to deal with? I mean, some are balls, some are folded, and occasionally you'll find a nice flat one, but they're all different.

Of course, if you carry any snus around in your pocket it's going to get jumbled whether it's a star pattern or not. Once a few portions are gone, it's right back to pile-o-portions.

I just throw a portion in my mouth, squash it with my tongue, then put it in place. Perfect every time :^) I do the same with star pattern snus, but it takes longer to get comfortable.

I always have to fluff my portions! I guess itjust makes snus more ritualistic in that aspect like cigs once were!

It's snus, I put it in my mouth. Not much thought goes on there.

I have never had any issues with Oynx. Sometimes, I may roll the snus to break it up before I put it in. Sometimes I don't. Either way is really fine with me.

But I do like the star presentation.

The star pattern makes for a very nice presentation, kinda classy, but I still roll the portion between my fingers before I toss one in.

I don't really care. The star patterned portions feel smaller to me.

                      I mush them up usually.

On the other hand I really don't like opening a can of regular portions and seeing a big lump all stuck together either.

Since the star pattern are all white potions I guess it takes care of that problem in two ways..

I know the first time I saw it was in Triumph. 8)

I really like the star pattern. First saw it in a can of General Onyx. I am not a person that moves there portion around to much. I like it to be snuggled up in my lip and fairly solid. It holds flavor longer, and if I do need to move it, even more flavor comes out.

my wife says you all need to get a life.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I just opened a can of Skruf Tranbar, and it was a big pancake of snus portions.
