At work I'm currently on a project working with a Swedish company, and we just had one of the Swedish guys over for a meeting. Half-way through the meeting he pulled a can of Goteborgs Rapé out of his jacket pocket and popped a portion in, casual as you like. I was probably the only person around the table who noticed, it was done that smoothly and naturally, because I was keeping an eye out for any signs of snussing! If I hadn't already had my own portion in, I'd have done the same to look for a reaction.
Sadly, I didn't get a chance to talk to him about snus, as it was all business, and didn't seem appropriate for me to go off on a tangent.

I usually prep my portions, but if I'm in a group of people I'll sometimes just pop it in straight from the can so as to not attract attention to myself.

I was quietly impressed, because as a relative newbie to snus I've yet to master inserting a portion without fiddling around with it to get it in the right spot.

I'm seriously throwing some hooks out to wangle a trip over to the Sweden "in the interests of the project", and then I'm going to fill my boots

I'm contemplating a 1 month trip around Europe, with a leg of the trip going through Europe. If this pans out the way I want it to, it'll work out great for getting snus. First, I'm going to grab all the ones I can't get here that I really like (mostly Montecristo, LS, and Camel, maybe 5 tins of RyJ), mail myself the Cuban ones, and get as much LS/Camel as I can get through customs with, using all my friends to increase the limit. I'm trying to get about 6-9 people with me, so that would mean about 12-20 rolls.
I tend to gravitate towards only a few brands myself now, having been at this for over a year. Even with snuff, I pick up a few new tins every so often, and I'm just starting to buy bulk of my favourites.

Maybe they can't afford to try something they might not like?
Or perhaps with a large enough purchase you can file for a VAT return? European countries do that for large purchases, don't know if that would extend to snus.
