And So Ends My Excursion into the World of Snus

This a followup to my noob posts, health posts, political posts, and personal "the slip into addiction" thread

After a few months dabbling in the world of smokeless tobacco, I have satisfied my curiosity and narrowed my interests. I have recently traded away my stockpile of snus and will just be using Gen. Mini Mint and Wintergreen in the near future.

My reason for doing so is to patronize the local cigar shop. I stopped by yesterday and the manager said that they are finally beginning to move Snus off the shelves but it took a long time to catch on.

I have been ordering online, but will begin to start buying at the shop. Given that my snus consumption isn't too high at this point, I will only be moderatly economically inefficient.

The last thing that I would like to see is for the local shop to stop ordering Snus due to low demand. So I am going to try and spread the word when I am around.

The questions were good for bringing information/opinions to the forefront. I'm glad you found some snus you're happy with. Not my choices for sure, but that's why they make more than 1 snus :^)

You freaked me out, Pangloss. I thought you were gonna tell us you were quitting
I have some wintergreen, but it's my last can otherwise I'd be glad to trade you.

Let me know what you have after trading is up, I am sure I could buy much of what you have left.

        But......

I think you are narrowing your brand choices too early. Just because you only seem to like a few now doesn't mean the same will be two months ago. First year, people's tastes rock all over the map.

and oh, I always loved your questions. You are a good addition to the Snuson family.

MasterGuns --> No way! Snus is as much a part of my life as my Basset Hound "Goose".

Master Jedi Sage --> Two days in, I am already tempted to try the Thunder Mini Mint, you are right. But the force is strong with me and I must fight the Dark Side and keep the sale of Gen Snus at the local Cigar Shop lest they abort the campaign to Snusify Dallas.

lol. I thought the same thing. Mint Mini is my go-to snus for now. Others I've tried (only a few) have always had something I just didn't quite like about them. It doesn't give me much of a buzz anymore, but still relaxes me quite well and tastes delicious. Really wanting to try the General Wintergreen, but it'll probably get me too buzzed at the moment and a bit sick. With time I'll adjust my nicotine receptors *cough*addiction*cough*.

You could just do what someone else here suggested (at least I think I read it on here today). Make those two your main snus, but every so often place a small order of maybe 5 cans of something different, just to have that variety in your fridge. Place limits on it, like only buy online once a month, and you should be fine. If you're buying 2-4 cans every week from the cigar shop, I'm sure they'd notice that they have a regular customer.

It'd probably hurt snus more if you stuck to just two choices, got burnt out in a year, and just gave up. Just a suggestion though.

I used to be obsessed with mini-mint (if anyone can remember me ranting aobut it 2 months ago) but have really gotten into RL (roca loccada or something, the can is to far away from me haha) and that has really hit the spot. Also camel white has been doing nice for me. Generally I try out anything Sage orders haha.

Just my two cents though, that goten rape (not spelt right) stuff is really horrible. idk who told me to try that but bleh.

I expected to hate General Wintergreen - but so far it is my favorite snus I have come across. I still like to change it up but I think my next order will have at least two rolls of it and it will be my standby.

I find myself wishing I had a General Wintergreen when any other brand is in my mouth unless I'm looking for a bigger hit.

                        Hey pangloss. . .
Hummer here. Been a while since I've been on this tread
and I wanted to check in with you to see what has happened
to your snus or nicotine habit. Further, the snus I received
from you is in my refrigerator in my office and I am still using
some of it. Funny how it has last so long.
                        Best wishes
