To go with a big one, Amazon. Seriously, way to ignore an entire post's points so you can remain smug in your confidence that you know everything about business. Look at the internet. The majority of the stores on it will still take orders for backordered product, and promise to ship it out when they get it. Before the internet, mail order chains did the same. Their inventory system isn't perfect, we get it. However, some of us are capable of waiting, because we don't wait until we only have a couple days worth of snus left to place an order. We keep ordering from them because they've provided us with five years of good service, and only screwed up for two months of that, due to circumstances outside of their control. It states on their website the list of brands and flavours they're having a hard time getting from the suppliers, so if you order them, it's your own fault that they don't ship immediately. Either raise a new point that hasn't been addressed for you in this thread and others, or be quiet. We get it, you're pissed you didn't get the kid glove treatment you expected. It's not as if anyone is forcing you to order from them, or anyone else. It's been mentioned on this forum for the past two months that they're having issues, so anyone who is on here complaining about it basically has no right to, except the first wave or two. You knew they were having issues, and choose to order anyway. Not their fault, not my problem. Call up your mother if you want a shoulder to cry on, because I expect you'll get little sympathy on here. If you want to order from Buysnus and pay $40 for shipping, feel free. Ok two people throw Amazon style websites.
You guys know Amazon is a shipload of third party vendors right? They only market books and kindles, and a few other items. Pretty much everything on the site is from a third party vendor like myself. Buy.com is also third party vendors. I sell on both of those, have several satellite sites and and run 23 other websites of various kinds. On amazon.com and buy.com if I say I can ship it in 5 days and yet I can't...well after that ratio reaches a certain percentage I am labeled a risk and tossed off as a seller. So yes you are going to run into idiots and unscrupulous sellers who will sell you things they don't own.
The only time Amazon sells you something they (meaning amazon as a company) don't have is when it's something NEW... allowing you to PRE-ORDER... like a book, or a new computer gadget. If you went to petrx.com and ordered some dog worming pills that you always received in a timely manner and your order took 7 weeks (the length of time I have waited for 1 can of snus) you would be pissed, and you would look for alternatives.
I don't care who ya order from... really. I just get amused that everyone here has an attitude of we should forgive them because of PACT... when if fact PACT was NEVER the problem.... read your own forum.... there are years of complaints to read.
I hope by my own complaining a couple things happen. Some of the more intelligent ones here will decide to purchase from another supplier, and then Northerner will actually take note and really do something... Because I WOULD LIKE to have a US company to buy from, for both speed and price.

texasstorm, if you bother to read the rest of the threads of those "years of complaints," you'll likely find that most of those issues were satisfactorily resolved. There are more than a couple people who can attest to Northerner watching out for there customers in the past. There's at least one off the top of my head where someone ordered a roll of snus, and received the wrong brand/flavour/whatever, and Northerner told them to keep it and shipped out the right product for free. Similar things have happened to me before, although not on the same scale. I'm not saying they're perfect, and they've had more than their share of issues in the last two months, but you're cherry picking threads to suit your purposes, ignoring complaints that were resolved to the OP's satisfaction, ignoring positive reviews, and just zooming in on the negative ones.Comment

I actually ordered a book from Amazon around the start of June that was listed in stock, but it just got to me on Tuesday of this week. It seems that Amazon was just lying about the book being in stock or they had some difficulty getting it from the third party distributor. I kept getting vaguely worded emails through the whole process reassuring me that the book was indeed coming and that amazon had not just stolen my money. It didn't really bother me that the book took so long to get to me, but I think that's because I am not chemically addicted to books and I can buy plenty of other good ones just two blocks away at the bookstore.Comment
