The sweetness isn't nowhere near as pronounced as frost or mellow.
Its funny the WinterChill smells like wintergreen dip to me.
On a side note the Camel Dip Wide Cut Wintergreen has me wondering. Camel says its the first wide cut dip but I beg to differ. Since its made by Conwood who also makes hawken dip
I cant help but wonder if its the same thing.
Hawken is...weird... It's cut is like cubed chewing tobacco, and it barely has any nicotine.. I doubt they would replicate Hawken and throw it in a Camel can, since Camel is a premium brand. I wonder when the dip goes nationwide, I'd like to try it out.

Edit - Deerslayer said he ordered some of the Camel widecut, I'm sure he will report back when he tries it out.

Found the Robust @ the "County Fair" in New Castle, PA. and I of course had to buy a tin.

3 portions in and I'm somewhat impressed on camel's direction with this snus. It's still a tad bit too damn sweet but the portion sizing is pretty good = more like Swedish snus. I get a nice bergamont'y' / Gin flavor albeit a bit too sweet and I would dig seeing a camel non-white but otherwise if they could now drop the sweetness a tad, boost the nic a bit, I would regularly buy this. As it stands now, these will only be an occasional once per month purchase but they have re-perked my interest.

Tried the winterchill and thought it was much better then the Frost.

To me it was maybe just as sweet as any other WG portion I have tried. The nic though seemed light compared to a Swedish version.

Finally, the Winterchill and Robust flavor arrived in my area. Here's what I think about each flavor:

Winterchill: The new pouches are not as tubular as the Frost and Mellow flavors and each portion weights 1 gram. The tobacco smells like wintergreen dip but it's not as intense. Surprisingly, the flavor is pleasant; the wintergreen flavor is light and the level of sweetness is minimal. Actually, I prefer this over General Wintergreen. The nicotine hit is similar to a regular strength white portion snus.

Robust: This is the most interesting flavor. The portion size is identical to the Wintergreen flavor, but this is a completely different snus. Upon opening the can, subtle hints of bergamot and Hefeweizen beer (weird, huh?) seep into the air. Out of every snus I have tried, whether it be American or Swedish, this has the most interesting smell. The flavor starts off mellow but the bergamot works its way into the palate. There is some sweetness in the formula, but it's not overpowering. All in all, I prefer this over the Winterchill flavor, since I'm not a fan of wintergreen to begin with.

I think R.J. Reynolds is on the right track, but my only critique is the moisture content. It would be nice if the tobacco had a ~50% moisture content. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised.

I'll report on camel widecut wg, I didn't like wg at the time so it took me a while to finish. The flavor is really really really strong, it's about twenty times stronger than skoal and I'm not exaggerating It's like they decided to not add water and go with wg extract instead. I left the can open in my room and when I walked in the whole room smelled like I had my nose an inch away from grizzly. The cut is different but easy to use packs well, the flavor is really long lasting like oh 45 minutes I'd guess and again really really intense. Nicotine is medium low I think, the can looks awesome without warning labels. Camel dark milled is excellent it's cope snuff with a camel label on it, but a little easier to keep in place. I opened the can of wg it smells like a full grizz can, and it's three months later with no dip in it. Since I dip grizz green I'm sure it would taste a little more mellow now.

Dam, I kinda now wanna try the new Camel snusi. And the Camel Dark Milled sounds like it might be good too.
I've wasted money before. I am also seriously thinking about getting a Radionics machine, without knowing much about it, and they can get real expensive.

Radionics machine? Holy Moses. I just read a few parts of a few sites about it and well...I'm lost for words.

I would try the Camel Robust just for ha ha's. I bet that's what that "What would you like in a US snus?" thread was about. Any more info? It's nice to see that the portions were ~1g though I didn't mind the shape of the other portions. More surface area means more good stuff all be it shorter lasting...though I certainly wouldn't have considered the US camel "good" stuff. Maybe this one actually tastes like tobacco.

How many portions? Cost? Got a pic of the can/portions? (heh...I just asked for a pic of yer can) You can easily adjust the moisture too.

Well, I went on an ordered a Radionics Machine Psychotronic Black Box, I've been really depressed and stressed lately(I hate my job), and I thought, heck, I come in here everyday and be miserable, I'm just gonna buy it, if I want it.
Now, I hope it has some benifit to me. But, one never knows till one tries.

                  Sorry to derail the subject.

Those things look like they tap into those spiritual frequencies that David Icke was talking about.

Maybe it will stop the broadcasting of the HAARP rays that keep the population depressed and complacent.

I don't know, it was really a new fascination, something I just wanted to try. I have read bits and pieces online. I hope it does something, people swear by it, and some units are in the many thousands of dollars. I guess I'll find out. Plus, I have no idea really which is the best model, best maker, I went into this pretty blind. But, it's something to do, and learn about. It may resonate with me. Maybe I can contact Aldebaran?

Well, interestingly, what they are now calling Robust is the same flavor Camel sold under the name "Original" in their test market cities beginning like 4 years ago. So the flavor is not really new, but "Original" was discontinued when Camel went nationwide. I'd say it was always the Camel flavor that came the closest to tasting anything like tobacco and "real" snus.

Original was my least favorite of the Camel flavors. I don't remember it having a citrus taste though. I remember it as being vaguely cola like, and very sweet.

I went to the one place that I was able to find the other Camel flavors, and they didn't have the new stuff.

The guy told me I was the first person to even ask about it. He said he could order some. I told him not to bother, because I'd only buy one tin and that would probably be it.

                            I'll find it somewhere though.

I think they tweaked the flavor once or twice during its original run. I remember when I first tried it I didn't think I cared for it at all. That was a couple weeks after I first started SNUSing with Camel Spice (which, I'll confess, I liked, but more as a sweet cinnamon flavor than as tobacco). Later I revisited Original and found I prefered it to Spice for regular use--I wasn't sure if it was my taste or the flavor that changed, but it did taste different to me than when I first tried it, and later they moved to slightly larger pouches, and I felt like the flavor was again a little different and better. Anyway, before it was discontinued and before I graduated to Swedish snus I went through a lot of Camel Original, and if Robust isn't exactly the same as the final Original flavor, it's pretty darn close. Now that I prefer unsweet Swedish snus, I find Robust/Original too sweet for regular use, but I've been enjoying about a portion a day for the past few days. For me it's a blast from my personal past. I think Camel would have a real gas station winner if they made a version that was basically Robust without the sweetener and called it Camel Natural.
