But we're getting a lot of new people here lately, which is pretty fun.

Shouldn't the 2010 V2 Limited Edition be out soon? maybe if hat comes out and we can get it, then it will be better.
Ah, there's the problem, the typical high low rollercoaster ride. You had so much fun purchasing all your stockpile, but now the eager anticipation is over, and you realize you've pushed back your next exciting purchase so far into the future that you're uncomfortable even thinking about it. Maybe you should've done like me, fly-by-the-night, see what gets here, and what it costs. New times, how exciting!

On second thought, my recent order was noticeably more expensive than usual; suck it up and pat yourself on the back for thinking ahead. Besides, you have more SnusX recipes to try, right? I certainly hope so! God knows I need some help perfecting my own frankensnus!

      +1 to the OP

We are liiving in a fastly changing ****ed up microcosm. It isn't just snus. My town just passed a sales tax increase, supposedly because now the have to add to a statewide police pension fund. I don't get it. everybody else is losing there jobs, so lets tax the people more to make sure the government tools get theirs....... Toto,,,, Were not in Kansas anymore.

edit: and since when does a pension fund have to be supported by the state? Really when did people stop contributing to their own pension? What's next? We need more taxes for teachers pensions, or any other gov employee. Were broke people. 1 out of 4 people are unemployed or under employed. WTF?

Hell no it isn't just snus. My only hope is that the long arm of government eventually overreaches, and people who used to think of government as their benevolent protector realize what the price is. I'm a pessimist here though. In the US, I see more and more people willingly chaining themselves to their government masters while at the same time watching in disbelief as traditionally socialist European nations back away from their failed national policies. Our current president chastises European heads of state for not being socialist enough in their economic policies! WTF!

Zombies are popular in modern pop culture, but the fact the founding fathers aren't wrecking undead righteousness on our country right now is proof in my mind that zombies are pure bullshit, because I believe our nations founders would put up one hell of a fight if they could.

P.S. I'm not serious about the zombie founders. I already knew they didn't exist, or they would've risen and corrected things long ago, before my birth. As it is, they've left us to reap our own spoiled rewards for accepting the leaders we have.

LOL, yeah. The SnusX thing started as, IMO, the best possible way to stock up, but ended up being a really fun hobby. It's like when my wife took bartender classes a long time ago - even the mistakes are fun!

Maybe you need a new hobby to get excited about

Unless they go nicotine free it's not silly.

As scientists have suspected, low-nicotine cigarette smokers were more likely to compensate their withdrawal by smoking more cigarettes.

While scientists have tried various ways to reduce the amount of nicotine smokers inhale to help them cut down, they have been concerned that smokers may just smoke more cigarettes to make up for what they're missing.

              Nicotine-free cigarette smokers were not.

I so want to grow my own but the conditions here are not right. Hell, I'd like to grow a lot of things, but the conditions aren't right.

For me, this is the new joy of snus [SnusOn]. I was never much for swag though I have to admit I was stoked when I ordered from ClubSnus and learned that I was getting some random marketing crap. Turned out it was just that...crap. Even the beer cozys had a cancer warning on them as large as the brand logo. I have enough S around here so I don't need any more although Copenhagen has some real nice stuff w/o any logos or warnings at all.

I also think that the VIP memberships will be the next new exciting thing. If I could get Grov on that deal, or Ettan (and I could think of a few others) now that would be exciting. AND cheaper than it used to be even. I think we'll have better luck getting that to happen than getting our government to repeal PACT.

lx, I feel your pain, but don't let the terrorists win! It's more important now than ever that we keep it fun, keep enjoying our snus, and keep spreading the word about it. If we lose our enthusiasm about snus, that's just what the bastards want. (Though, of course, they also want our tax revenue. Go figure.) Getting more American snusers on board is the only long-term insurance against snus becoming unavailable--or simply unpalatable--in America. Case in point--there's a reason menthol cigarettes are the only ones exempted from the flavored cigarette ban. Lots of Americans smoke them.

But while we're ranting, I'm ticked personally because I feel like I came late to the party. I'm not a newbie to snus--been using it almost 3 1/2 years now to cut down on pipe smoking and keep me sane in non-smoking situations--but for a long time I was mostly content just buying General locally and not really into the online "snus scene." But just over the past few months, I started getting more seriously into my snusing, enjoying it more and more as an end in itself rather than just a smoking substitute. I got more into placing online orders for different varieties, joined this forum, and learned more about all the cool snus swag I had been missing out on. At this moment, I think I'm most pissed about the ban on swag. I know it's kind of tangential, but I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff, and it pisses me off that I can't get some little plastic do-dad in what was formerly the most free country on earth. End of rant (for now).

Well, to be fair, the plastic do-dads (hats, shirts, can coolers, fridgemates, etc.) all apparently caused cancer, so really they had to be banned.

I recently got a metal sign for Red Man Chew, I'm guessing these type of things won't be made anymore, as it might influence the children.

Well, as long as it's "for the children." The fridgemate fad among schookids around here has gotten somewhat alarming. In true fairness, plastics probably do have more carcinogens than snus.

P.S. Back to trying to be positive, I hope the silver lining of PACT is that it spurs the push for broader distribution of Swedish snus in America, i.e., making it available at more local retailers and more varieties than just General (which, don't get me wrong, I love).

I was going to make a large order right before GetSnus changed. It could of been the final week when they changed over I cannot remember but I missed the boat. Used up about 90 percent of my small stash from April and also have fallen into a Snus bipolar funk.

Yea, it's not as exciting as it used to be, but I think for me at least, is there really isn't any new snus to try lately.

You'll be able to tell your grandkids about the good old days...

Reminds me of when gasoline was 35 cents a gallon, they gave you full service, washed your winshield, checked your oil and air in your tires, and gave you drinking glasses for your beer with a fill up....
                                I almost forgot... free roadmaps.
