    Jenka?

I was just looking at GetSnus and noticed that Offroad wintergreen and Thunder wintergreen have in the info box "Flavour: Wintergreen, Jenka". Does any one know what jenka is? I Googled it and got nothing. I tried a couple of online translators, nothing. I like Thunder wintergreen and it just tastes like wintergreen to me, so either jenka is flavorless or I'm missing something. Not knowing what it is won't keep me from enjoying the snus, but it's tickling my brain that I can't find anything about it.

Maybe it relates to the root beer flavored bubble gum named Jenka?

Root beer always tastes like wintergreen to me.

Root beer is a beverage with a flavor of SARSAPARILLA ( Smilax regelii ) and sassafras , used as flavoring in toothpaste red Tättintill , and Jenka-gum .

So I think we're shooting for the sarsaparllla/sassafras flavour and not the root beer so much.

I found a page with an argument American vs. Swedish root beer flavour.

Jenka = junk or crap in Swedish. It is commonly associated with wintergreen snus.

Jenka? Wasn't she a porn star back in the 80's?

traditional root beer is brewed with wintergreen (the plant). Not the primary ingredient, but its in there. I don't know if this really helps you at all with the original question, but check this out: http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/
