Stonewall is a dissolveable tobacco piece made by Star Scientific in America. Its sister product is Ariva. Stonewall has the nicotine of a regular cigarette; Ariva of a light cigarette. They are the size of breath mints and dissolve completely in the mouth over 30 to 45 minutes. 20 pieces in a package for about $4. Regular, wintergreen or java flavored (I use the very tasty Java first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee). I discovered these even before I start snusing and buy them at the local tobacco shop (which just started selling CatchDry portions; this in Florida!).

Hooray for all the helpful responses!

I'll definitely keep these suggestions in mind after I get my paycheck tomorrow . I'm also thinking about getting the Swedish Match Tasting Kit--the one mainly for women, mostly minis, and it's got some of what you guys have recommended. I'd also try one of the Vertigo and perhaps the Rape no.2 as a full-size... There are just so many choices!

I'm actually about to head out for work. I'm going to stop by a nearby tobacconist to see if they have any OT's and any Stonewall or Ariva as well!

        Tropical Bob,
I thought that the Ariva had the same Nicotine content as a regular cigarette, whereas Stonewalls had the same as most smokeless tobaccos. I could very well be wrong, but I am definitely on board with stonewalls. They are extremely discrete, and it just looks like you are popping in a mint.

I got that from the company's Web forum. Their rep wrote: "Each piece has about as much nicotine as a person would get from smoking one "light" cigarette (Ariva), or from using one small pinch of snuff or one full-flavor cigarette (Stonewall). Therefore, the number of pieces used each day depends on a person's usual tobacco intake."

I know I really didn't get much from Ariva, but love those Java-flavored Stonewalls. Good to see another user here. I can't see using only one thing, when so many attractive choices are available. I use what suits me at the moment. 'Just no cigarettes' is my only mantra.

Anyone know where to get these Stonewalls online? Star Scientific doesn't seem to sell from their site. Hmmm...

Darkwing: No pest. I first purchased an e-Pipe from e-cig in China about two months ago. It's big and heavy but puts out some decent vapor. I then ordered a really cheap ($34) e-cigar from DealExtreme. I had low expectations for it. But, surprisingly, it's held up well for more than a month (these are new technologies, so no one has a loooong experience with them). I charge each's battery daily and top off the nicotine cartridge with a couple of drops of e-Liquid at high nicotine level. I've got "extra high nicotine" on order. Hope this helps. I can't vouch for the quality of all the imitations flooding the Web right now. I can tell you I use my e-cigar every day, in some places where smoking is taboo, and I get LOTS of questions.

Let me give you a few more Web locations:

Main E-Cig site in China. Most variety and you'll want their e-Liquid for refilling cartridges (don't buy a bunch of cartridges; refill and reuse!). http://www.e-cig.com/shopping/shopcontent.asp?type=home

DealExtreme with the best price I've seen on a quality e-Cigar:
                    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10099

Look over all the options. I'm a longtime pipe smoker, so I went with that first. But I strongly prefer taking the e-cigar out on the town.
