    Diplomat Substitute

I have just discovered Diplomat, at the same time as the brand is being discontinued. It is by far my favourite snus. Is there any comparable brand out there? Is the new Retro snus similar?

Retro is not really similar. Granit would probably be the closest.

I just finished my first pris of Granit while drinking a few beers, and I am relieved. I loved Diplomat and was greatly disappointed when it disappeared. Diplomat was perfect for my tastes. Granit is a superb substitute. If it came in the same quality tin, I would be completely sold.

Definitely try Granit. It has a simliar texture, a solid tobacco/salty/leathery taste and had a good nicotine hit even after chain snusing all day. This will become my daily loose.

By the way, I would like to email F&L, but can't find their website on Google. Anyone help with this? Please?

To be honest, I kind of like Granit better than I liked Diplomat (R.I.P.). I use the maxi portions daily. Wonderful, lasting flavor with a good nicotine kick. Plus, the price is excellent. I've got half of a roll left in the fridge. When I run out, I'll assuredly be ordering another roll... maybe two.

Granit is awesome. Definitely one of my "daily brands."

The same here, I like Granit better. Granit loose is very good IMO.

I still have yet to try the loose, but I'll definitely get on it with my next order. The price tag truly baffles me. It's quality is right up there with my other more pricey favorites.

I hope the market is good to Granit. I'd hate to see it go. It's one of only two maxi portion brands that BuySnus sells, the other being General Maxi, which I didn't like at all (not surprising, since General really isn't my thing). If the maxi got discontinued, I'd be able to cope so long as the other variants still survived. But still, I love maxi portions. Granit maxi needs to stick around.

I really appreciate you giving me the website. They still have Diplomat listed as one of their products!

I ordered 2 tins of Granit loose on my order that just came in. I have a pris in right now. It's not bad. It's a little more rounded than Diplomat -- not as sharp. It's also got a finer grind, from the little I saw and what it feels like.

It has the potential to be my go-to F&L snus.
