Cool. News to me. The guy in the English Historia clip (only one I've watched so far) pronounces "snus" the same way Stephen Colbert does. Was I wrong to mock him? "Snooze" just doesn't sound right to me.

Anyway, that's minor. This is pretty cool, even if it is from that evol giant, Swedish Match

...hmm, same guy in the second video, and again with the "snooze" Sometimes it sounds like he's pulling back from the 'z' a bit. May guess would be that he's a pro who took a crash course in pronunciation right before show time.

...I like the Swedish narrator's voice better, fwiw. He doesn't say "snooze", also, too.

honestly it just sounds gay, not that there is anything wrong with that.
even saying snoose sounds...gay.
i just call it snus, like snuff but without the ff

What dude you rhyme snus with fuss? Puss? That's just... Kinda silly. What's so bad about saying it like moose? Saying it that way or closer to the real pronunciation isn't silly, it's correct. Not trying to be hard on you, but intentionally mispronouncing it is like insisting on saying labary or expresso, sounds dumber to me. Say it how you like though, I don't really care. Again, not trying to bust your balls man, that's just weird to me

I love talking about snus, 9 out of 10 times someone always corrects me and says "no, it's called snus" like snus, like fuss. :roll: that's when I give the camel lovers an Oden's ES portion

I did notice in the Swedish Match video that they were hanging the full stalks in the barn for curing. When you harvest the full stalks that means burley. When you cure leaves individually that means Virginia.

meh, pretty typical for foreign words to get a american slant (or vice versa).
snuff is what i call dip...seems only natural to call it sn-us.
hearing english speakers say "snoooze" sounds like an uppity high english pronunciation, and i'm a good ole boy.
so that's what i'll call it
