Recent reports came out with studies that actually showed that fattening foods are addictive, like heroin. I'm in the same boat. And the side effects of obesity and related illnesses, like diabetes, cancers, heart disease, ect, are affecting children more and more. I think our processed refined junk food is much more harmful to everyone, esp children than tobacco is.

Well that even plays more into this ladies hypocrisy then. If she is the way she because of an addiction to bad food, but yet has zero compassion for tobacco users, then that makes her a complete hypocrit. And if she learned that she was "medically proven" to be addicted to bad food, would she be in favor of just removing it all, taking it all away so its not available to those addicted? I would think not. I think she would come up with some justified moronic reason why the food is ok, but the tobacco is not.

The piece seemed kind of slanted to me. Seems like they used this smoker/snusser for the sole purpose of justifying the rants of the psycho anti-tobacco witch.

It's unfortunate, but not surprising, that they chose to feature a "dual user" as the subject.
I agree with some of the people in this thread and of course Snusify that the inability of some American smokers to quit outright is largely the fault of the American snus producers. The American snus products are simply inferior to the competition in terms of taste, nicotine delivery, and value.

I've never been one to 'demonize' big tobacco, but the choice of both camel and more recently marlboro to produce a product that is nowhere near sufficient makes me think twice about their motives. These are extremely successful companies; should they choose to, they could produce a first rate snus in no time.
