Which reminds me, my last Pre-PACT order for Ettan lös cost me a $1.50 a can including delivery.
We'll never see those days again.
(the price was in Euros)

Originally posted by RooMaybe some Yanks can correct me if I'm wrong, but dip is not anywhere near $1.50 a can here in the US. In Seattle it's cheaper than cigs, at about $6 or $7 a can I believe. Cigs and snus are $8-$10 per package, which is definitely high for the US, but hopefully that helps you compare the prices to obtain tobacco in Romania vs. USA. You're not missing out on amazing prices if you can get dip for USD 5 or 6.
General goes for about $4.00 a can with tax.
I don't pay a lot of attention to dip or chewing tobacco prices because I don't use either. However, I priced out some items for a friend in Germany the other day. Our prices on what he was curious about were as follows...
A 5 can roll of Copenhagen, Kodiak or Hawkins runs 19.65 tax included. Per can it is $4.12
Timberwolf Dip is 12.70 per 5 can roll or 2.70 per can
Redman Silver is 4.79 per pouch. Case price is 52.69. 12 pouches per box
Stokers Moist Snuff is 11.89 and is equal to 10 cans.
Stokers bulk chew is 12.09
Dry snuff 1.15 ounce
Red Seal Sweet 5.09
Tube Rose 4.29
Conwood Dental 5.49
Garrett's various 5.09
Some states have lower taxes than mine....

Halló Yfir! Velkomin til Snuson! Hvar á Íslandi ertu?
My uncle tried to find Lundi, but he couldn't find it in the ÁTVR shops; so he brought me some Neftóbak. How is it?
If you're looking for tobacco, maybe we can arrange a trade? A package of bjúga would be nice (or some Malt Extrakt).

I had a guy in Iceland that I arranged to trade some dip for neftóbak, Yfir. The dip got through customs fine, but unfortunately for me, he seems to have just taken it and run. Never saw my two tins of neftóbak from the bastard, and this is at least three months on now. I would like to get some more neftóbak in the future, as I did rather enjoy the sample a certain benefactor sent me.
Also, CreteCoater and precious, here's why your dip was so cheap:
