To be honest, I think I would rather smoke mine.

Yes, I still love my snus, but really, for the most part, just for how it makes me feel. But for truly appreciating the flavor of tobacco, for enjoying it in it's purest essence, I gotta smoke it.

That said, when you get good, you simply must gift me with a bit of what you have done so I can try it out. Although I don't see it in my future, I eagerly read all about your adventures in making snus.

cj, it makes me sad to report this, but I got some info for you.

Production of Level has been stopped by JTI due to low demand in the Swedish Market.

General is a strange beast. I went from using General White when I started to ordering a bunch of snus and finally thought I had settled on Grov White, Ettan White, Skruf Original and Gotlands Yellow as my favourite portions.

Then Skruf started to make a habit of producing dry flavourless portions and I went looking for a replacement.

Got a a few cans of General OP and I was pleasantly surprised. Even more so when my Swedish colleague brought me a roll from Sweden and it turned into my all day everyday snus. Nearly finished with the roll and I have to say it has grown on me a lot in the last couple of weeks. I'd even say it has managed to knock Skruf completely off my list and will continue to remain a firm favourite.

Can I live with just General? Probably not as I still keep Ettan White and Gotlands in the rotation, but if I had no choice in the matter and it was all I could get I would probably be able to deal with that.

I could live with it, I think we all could really, if we had too, or just decided to quit. But the thing is, we don't have to, and shouldn't have to.

Okay, I have a more official statement now about it, so here's what JTI has to say about it.

"JTI Sweden would like to be able to focus on the strong brands we have in our snus portfolio, both in the value segment (LD) and in the premium segment (Camel and Gustavus). We believe our prospects are best served by de-listing Level from a portfolio with such strong brands."

It hasn't grown on me yet. I have about 1.5 rolls of the lös, and when I open a new tin I think "this isn't bad", but I inevitably grow tired of it half way through. If I were limited to only 1 Swedish Match brand, it would be Grov or Ettan. I'm leaning towards the Ettan right now, but they frequently switch places as my favorite in that style.

Sounds like LD is doing good. I was kinda worried about that one too.
