Granit and Gustavus are my suggestions. Nice flavor and salt profile. Don't forget Skruf portions, not bad either.

I take back my own question. I finished off my can of LD portions and was looking for another open can to finish off, I choose the 02. It was only the 2nd portion I've had of it. Yuck! I can't see finishing a can of this, let alone it replacing Camel or Lucky Strike. The remainder of the can went into the garbage can.

Agree. If I wouldn't have done this with the General ES Portion, I would never have realized this could become one of my favorites as it has. Now the General Wintergreen is another story. Even though this snus seems to reproduce in my fridge via "free" samples from all over, I can't seem to stomach the thoughts of giving it another chance.

I'm with ya Ix on the 1847, it's not a wonderful snus, but one I can use for awhile. Have you tried Knox yet Daruckis? The Granit white tastes completely different from the regular to me. It's one snus I prefer the regular in. N&J Black is okay, I just finished a can and every time I used one, it just made me want a regular N&J or an Onyx.

daruckis, don't read too much into that description. Made by the same company but don't really taste alike. I too really don't like Skruff at all, but have always liked Knox. Beefore I switched to whites, was one of my go to snuses in fact. The new Knox whites are on my next order. Have been waiting for 2years for those!!

At least give Knox a try. Just doesn't taste much like Skruff, actually tastes good.

Well this is disappointing. I have a can of Knox los en route from The Northerner and was hoping it tasted like Skruf.

                  :^D

I think it tastes a good bit like Skruf. Enough so that I'm not that crazy about it. The only Skruf product I really like is the stark lös.

Knox tastes enough like Skruf to me that I'd place them in the same family. I can see someone liking one and not the other. I've had a few portions from a can of Knox White and it's definitely one I keep handy. It does seem like Knox sort of quits after about forty-five minutes to an hour, but that's okay with me. It's one of those I might reach for shortly before mealtime or something, saving my longer-lasting Level or nice pris of whatever for later.

I revisited Knox recently and foundit to be a bit gross. And I like Skruf. I swear Knox just gives you funky breath and minimal satisfaction. I'm with you though, daruckis, I'm in a big slump too, but I don't really mind. I use Odens pretty much all the time when portions are appropriate. Have you tried the original (not ES)? I haven't, but the taste of OES is great, pure tobacco IMO. I don't dig the kanel though. But this rut I'm in is making me look forward to trying some new things like N&J Black, and revisit old friends like grov original, General ES portions, hell maybe even some General Maxi. There's a lot I haven't tried too -- Granit or Gustavus portions, 1847, Level, LDWhite, Kronan... As for Taboca I like it OK, but I say if you don't like Jaks original or Montecristo then maybe don't get your hopes up. Still try it though. I think its a good bit like the Gul portions, too. And definitely try those, it won't ruin your love of the los.

I found the Odens ES portions to be nearly, if not completely identical to Thunder OP. The Odens classic was not bad, but had a different taste, and from what I recall, had a slight spicey sweetness.

thanks for the input roo, (and everyone else) i think my next orders going to be knox, level, ld, n&j black, general sterk, taboca, taboca strong minis, thunder frosted minis, and perhaps a few others. its not that i dont like montecristo or jaks classic, theyre very good but i do find that its a flavor easily worn out, and that my lip constantly wants to eject the overstuffed portions from my gums. i even can get like a dull ache in my upper jaw. lately i just cant get enough of LD. i think im gonna hold off on my order for another 2 weeks to a month, as im not exactly running out, just running out of variety in my portions. i have like 5 unopened los cans, 7 unopened 01s, gustavus, ettan white, and romeo y julieta.

                          also dude, gen maxi rules.
