This is a question for those that have quit smoking in this forum.. I have been coughing my ass off for the past 48 hours its now 72 hours since last smoke when does the coughing stop

might take a few days..coughing is good once you quit..try taking some mucinex(sp?) or some codeine if you can(around 60mg) it should help clear everything out

taking mucinex... ive been coughing up shit that looks like it should come from my cars oil drain plug not my mouth

For me, it's only a few days, but it varies. I knew one person who coughed for weeks, maybe a few months. It was worrying and she went to the doctor about it, but eventually it went away.

I went through that too, for a few days. I started using Mucinex.

i coughed for more than 2 months. i still cough every once in a while.

My brother who doesn't snus, switched to 305s to save money and got rewarded with COPD. If he doesn't stop soon he's going to end up with inhalers and an oxygen tank

I got lucky, I smoked for 38 years, my hacking and coughing went away within a couple months, it took 6 months before I noticed an improvement in lung capacity.
