Guess what?! another noob preps for first order

I've researched enough, i think. Time to leave the barren land of American Camel despair for the fruited plains of Swedish delights.

but i figured i'd run my order by the community first.

the only one of these i've tried before is mini mint, i'm ordering from getsnus (unless there is a cheaper place)

That looks like a good order. The only thing you might want to change is the General white. The General Original should cover that pretty closely from your sampler. My first choice to replace it would be Gotland Yellow. Skruf Original would be good for something different also.

I think it is as good of a start as any. You just have to start someplace, and see nothing wrong with any of your choices.

My very first order consisted solely of Nick & Johnny Original and Skruf Stark Poritons. If General Ekstra Sterk existed at that time, I probably would have ordered two rolls of it. I'm such a nicotine junkie. :shock:

I dont know if you want a roll of mini mint. You might get tired of mini's quickly.. If you love Mini's, definatly try the discreet flavors.

yeah skip the roll of mini mint. get a half roll at most. even that is too much mini mint. but if youre set on getting a lot, i wouldnt make it more than 5 cans.

that happened with me. i ordered a roll of mini mint and got tired of them midway through. also, thunder frosted mini is here (which they didn't have when i started), so i'd balance that out with your mini mint, because i think you'll like it more.

maybe half roll mini mint and half roll thunder frosted mini?

that would be a good way to approach it. after a lot of mini mint you'll probably want something stronger, and thunder frosted is there to fill that void and if you ever want, i suggest the regular thunder frosted. it's a good kick in the teeth.

another suggestion, try elixyr energy. a few of us around here swear by it. it's a great pick me up, and has good amounts of caffeine in it.

If you know you really like mini mint, go with it. If it's just OK, just get a few tins. No reason not to get something you really like.

I would skip the roll of mini mints too. Order 1 or 2 cans for now.

When I first started I liked the General Wintergreen so I ordered a roll of it. I got real tired of it by the 3rd can and ended up giving away 6 cans.

Welcome to the forum mate. The order looks good. I cannot agree more though with the caution about ordering a entire roll of the mint minis at first. Your tastes are going to change. You are going to find things you just love and got to have. I’d kick it down to no more than five tins. There will be plenty of time for rolls. Now is the time for sampling.

And the reason I say this and the reason that other have said it is because we all did the exact same thing. First love = whole roll = tired of it half way through.

When I 1st started snus, I did not love it at 1st. I more so liked the idea of it, and the exoticism appealed to me. But it did take some time and effort to get it down, and get acclimated to it. And though I am still rather new, my tastes have changed all over the place. I 1st went for flavored snus, as I didn't think I'd really like more plain tobacco, so I focused on flavored snus most, but for me, I really got tired of flavored snus. The only one I can use and still enjoy is General Wintergreen now and again, and I have some Thunder wintergreen I haven't cracked open yet. I also thought not too long ago, that I liked whites the most, but now, after using this can of Lucky Strike Original, and having emptied cans of Ettan and Grov original, I now think I prefer original portions, of more full flavored tobacco snus.

I was just gonna say maybe get a half roll of the mini mint, but others have said it already. I would still get the General White though. I prefer those to the regulars.
