          It's salty and delicious.

You can alter your nicotine intake level.

I used snus through 3 classes, no smoke break. if I still smoked I wouldn't have been so happy with 3+ hours of no time to smoke.

Cheaper, healthier, cheaper, tastes better, cheaper, my sense of smell has returned, cheaper, my clothes don't reek of tobacco, cheaper, food now tastes better, cheaper, digestive system is normal, cheaper, and is way more cool than smoking.

                  Oh, and it's cheaper, too.

Seriously, I've already saved enough $$ since starting snus to buy a new lens for my camera. I like this a bunch!

It gives us worldly, international sex appeal.

                        I can snus while:
spending time with my infant daughter
                        working
woodworking in the garage with both hands free
driving a stickshift while drinking coffee
                        swimming

The first reason is the best, but I did seriously underestimate how much time I save by not having to take smoke breaks. It makes my woodworking hobby so much more productive.

I must make one thing clear. To me, personally, snus will never replace the cigarette in terms of satisfaction. I have not smoked in 15 months, but I still miss those moments of solitude on my front porch with a cigarette. There was something magical and relaxing as I lit up a smoke and listened to the crickets. It was like I had my own personal friend, the glowing ember in the dark. In terms of productivity, yes I am more productive but sometimes that's not a good thing. I no longer have an excuse to take a break from whatever I'm doing for a breather, something I also miss. I'm glad my car doesn't stink anymore, but smoking and driving was also a pleasure of mine.

I never had trouble sitting through a movie, although the first thing I did was light up after I left, and the wave of satisfaction with that first puff that went straight to your heels was the perfect cap to a good night out at the pictures.

After a night on the town, bundled in my coat and waiting for a cab outside a restaurant with a cigarette was just so fabulous, it can never be replaced. Never EVER!

I've been contemplating an e-cig, to use occasionally, but hearsay says they have a bleak future and may soon be banned. They also seem to have a high startup cost, and if they're banned how will I get cartridges?

Snus does nothing but exacerbate my anxiety and OCD symptoms, something I almost forgot about when I was a smoker. Smoking controlled them very well.

Snusophile, I understand your reason for missing smoking. I share some of them. May I suggest the odd cigarillo? Davidoff makes a great one. They are pretty expensive, but make for a great, short smoke when nothing else can replace what you're looking for. Sometimes I just need a smoke too, but cigs don't cut it anymore (usually). A good cigarillo should take care of you. Keep a pack in whatever kind of bag you use for those moments when you're waiting for a cab in cold weather, or wake up to fresh snow

Ahh, yes, I agree. I forgot to mention that I do entertain the odd good cigar every few months which always blows my mind, but the next day I feel a little rough from the second hand smoke I inevitably inhaled. Cigarillo's might be the answer, I haven't had one since college, and those were cheap ass Swishers. Generally never considered buying a premium cigarillo, due to the prohibitive pricing, but I might just consider it now that you've mentioned it. Thanks!

Snusophile, why don't you just smoke every once in a while. Those are EXACTLY the types of situations I still have a cigarette here or there. Lately, maybe one every two months?? But it is snus that has allowed me to do this. It is snus that enables me to really grove on that cigarette when I am in that perfect, I'd love a cigarette, moment.

I guess I simply don't understand why anyone using snus doesn't smoke when that is what they want to do. It s not like that one cigarette will make you suddenly go back to smoking. The whole point of snus is you already have nicotine in your body, there is nothing that cigarettes can do to make you smoke them if you don't want to smoke them.

But as I have posted numerous times, I love snus cause it means I can smoke when I WANT to, not anymore cause I NEED to.

Huge difference, and I live my life happy embarking on things I love to do when I feel like it, and never feeling like something is being denied me.
