Ettan - Portion or Los??

So I haven't tried Ettan yet. (save your OMG comments! :roll: ) When I whittle down some of my stash it's the next thing I want to get. Should I get the los or the portion? The only los I have tried is General and it does kinda taste like the portion but not, it's kinda hard to explain. So which is better for Ettan? And is the los easy to handbake compared to General??

Ettan is about the same as General for ease of handbaking. I've only had 1 tin of portions, but that was a couple of years ago. I remember enjoying them, but some people say the lös tastes better. I think I'd tend to go for the lös since it's Sweden's oldest brand, and you'd be using it the old way. Go for the all traditional approach :^)

Ettan los is maybe the best los I have used. But it depends on if you want los or portions. I think Ettan Vit may be my fave portion. Originals are great too.

I read somewhere that Ettan and Grov taste similar. Is that true? I hope not cuz I was not a fan of Grov at all.

Hmmm, I wanna say yes, but I need to do one and the other to remember. But what I said about Ettan, I can just as well say about Grov.

Ettan is a great snus. The portions and the los are both amazing. I wouldn't settle for one - I would go ahead and get both. And i like Ettan White more than Ettan Original.

I'd call Grov a fortified Ettan. Grov's like Ettan, but more of it. Stronger flavor, and coarser cut.

I personally don't see a whole lot of similarity, other than relative tobacco purity as the dominant taste. Ettan is nutty and mellow while Grov is salty and bold, IMO. I don't order Ettan portions anymore, but I a couple cans of los from time to time. Good stuff.

I am probably not someone worthy of listening to about los, but I found Ettan los utterly boring. Then again, I am not a huge fan of Ettan portions.

(btw, that is probably a good thing. I am sure if I loved Ettan, they would discontinue it. So what if it was the first snus, Sage likes it so let's stop making it!!!)

I think that Ettan is somewhat overrated. It just seems like General with less taste to me.

I find ettan to have the richest, most organic tobacco taste available period. completely distinct from grov, which is pretty good in its own right.

That is exactly what Grov tastes like to me, so maybe Roo and I have similar tastes. Nutty and mellow sounds good. I just got my Northern order today and my snus stash is building up. I'm gonna have to kill a few cans before I order or my wife will kill me!
