It took me a bit to become acclimated to the salt. In the meantime, in between yummy salt filled portions, here is a quick list of some lower salt portions in my opinion.

    Lucky Strike
    Retro
    Skruf
    Grovsnus
    Ettan
    Catch (Menthol/Eucalyptus or Licorice)
    General Mini Mint

But like the others have said, you will not notice after a bit and in fact is adds a lot to the snus once your tastes get more acquired.

My least salty choice would be Ettan Portions, too. Just a bare hint of salt mixed with a lot of good tobacco taste.

But on these Summer days working outdoors, most anything makes me thirsty.

Try Ettan Portions. I can't taste any kind of salt profile at all.

The Eucalyptus is one of only 3 snus I have ever thrown out. Just the nastiest sh** to me at least.

If you like General White, I think grovsnus white is about the closest in taste while being a lot lower in salty taste.

    My personal take.

I detect hardly any salt in Ettan Portions. That being said,I been chain snusing for a month now and even the Claq Qui,which was salty as hell the first can, doesn't faze me.Like Sage said, give it some time.

    Welcome to Snuson sm0ke42o

Just been here a LONG time, know how it is for just about everyone who comes to snus now, especially if they started with Camel. As you read me, you will see me giving that same advice to every new person.

Again, just wanted to say welcome.

^ Couldn't have said it better. Real snus threw me for a loop with the salt content for about the first week and half or two. However in the meantime or if that doesn't change these would be my suggestions.

I notice almost no salt in Roda Lackett portions. Never had the los so I could not say. But RL is sweeter like dried figs or dates.

Grov is another one that seems to less salty than most and for that reason I can chain them all day. Same with Lucky whites, not so much with the original though. They are good but the salt is more pronounced.

Tre Ankare is pretty low in the salt dept also but if it gets too wet that all changes. I would say retro or ettan before Tre. Good luck finding your go to.

LD Black has no salt really if you like licorice.

But BLACK SQUIRREL, this salt thing is temporary. I promise, after a week to two weeks, you will never notice. I ride too, put about 2000 miles a month on my motorcycle. One of my greatest pleasures of snus, I get my nicotine WHILE I ride now.

Just give it a bit of time, I promise, it will not be an issue. Your body just needs time to acclimate to the salt. Thousands of people through here, all took only a week to two to get there.

prima fint tastes really mild and isn't really salty. but it's loose.

granit or lucky strike might be a good idea

Also keep in mind, that the strong apparant saltiness actually goes away in about a week of regular use. Or it sure has for me. When I 1st did snus, they all seemed like little bags of salt, but now, any snus I do, I really don't get any saltiness from them.

    Hey black...

If your looking to lower the salt content stick with the white portions like the General WG. For me the regulars all seem to still taste salty, I have gotten used to it and am a couch potato so it really doesnt effect me. Really my only other advice is to stay away from the other General brands if you are worried about salt content. Those still taste WAY to salty to me. Others here should be along to recomment other portions.
