    Claq Qui & Nicotine Tolerance

Hey guys, another noob here.Started snus 2 weeks ago, quitting the smokes.Anyway,I ordered about 10 different kinds of snus to try to find what I liked.I really really like the Claq Qui,but I've been told it's too strong for an all day snus but I've gone through about 10 portions today and I feel fine.Is this because of the 15 years of Marlboro Reds?Is it okay to use stark snus all day, every day?The 8mg portions don't seem to satisfy my cravings.

You'll be fine. Some people just don't enjoy using starks all the time. Others I know use over 24 starks a day. People who only occasionally use starks do so because of personal preference, not fear of ODing on nicotine (unless they have low tolerances).

      Welcome to Snuson LordJ

I have been using snus for almost 30 months now. My first 3 months of snus, I used nothing but strong. Eventually, I dropped down to regulars with one or two strongs a day. Did that for at least 20 months. Now, about 6 months ago, i find myself using much more strong, 6 - 8 a day.

I use what makes me feel right at any given moment, what i love about snus and the choices it gives me.

        Welcome to snuson!

I love Claq Qui and I'm not really a portion guy. If it's keeping you off ciggs, and you are feeling good... Do it. Claq Qui=Epic Win IMO

Do whatever you like. Claq is one of the good portions. When I cant shove a pris in I love Claq. Ive been keeping it in my desk at work with N&J and its one of the best.

I've been trying CQ for a few days and I am still on the fence about it. Flavor ok but the nic hit isn't that impresive. I'm liking Lucky Strike better at this point.

I haven't yet tried CQ or lucky strike, but I have both in the freezer. Is lucky strike actually strong? I thought it was 8mg

It is strong in that it has a lot of the bitter peppery juice, not to be confused with nicotine, that makes it seem strong. It has a very peppery taste to me.

Lucky strike is coming out with a strong version. They're currently test marketting it here in Norway. Personally I didn't like it too much, but if you like regular you'll be sure to like this strong one aswell. Lucky strike bold its called. I believe Northerner said they'd have it in the near future.

I always carry a tin of Claq Qui for my regular and a tin of Odens Extra Stark from which I'll just have an occassional.

If I feel that I want a cigarette, I'm not getting enough nicotine so that's when I drop in an Extra Stark.

I've been using CQ for a few days and it doesn't seem to hit very hard, though I've been using a lot of snus in a day and I'm not sure if my tolerance is just higher. I have General ES Los in right now and I'm only getting a light buzz.

What I use depends on what my body craves. I usually start the morning with a Thunder Frosted and step down to Roda Lacket from there; however, there have been days that I've chained both Thunder and Oden's Stark all day :!:

On a typical day, I usually use 3 to 5 strong portions and 3 to 5 regular portions. During the evening I switch to los. Again, depending on how I feel, I could use Grov or Ettan; however, may crave more nic and use Oden's Stark or General Extra Stark.

I also follow the same pattern with nasal snuff. My all day is Poschl's Gletscher Prise (I was a heavy menthol smoker for over 30 years). If I really crave nic, I add in some Rooster or Toque Quit. During the evening hours it's Toque Time for me. I use various flavors and even mix some.

From time to time, I also like to flavor my evening los with various liquors. I've found that Schnapps, Coffee and Chocolate liquors work best for me. For a good nic rush and flavor treat, try a few drops of Fire Water Cinnamon liquor mixed with Oden's Kanel Stark los. :P God is that good stuff :!: Kick in some Toque Peppermint or St. Clement's and it makes me wonder why I ever smoked :!:

Don't be afraid to experiment. Your body will tell you what it craves and likes. It will also tell you what and when to avoid something.
