Do a simple Google search of marijuana, cancer, and lung and you will see what I mean. Although a bunch of recent research has showed no link, other research does. So, each person here can find whatever ammunition they need. But take a step back and you will realize that it is really not worth debating either way. maybe one day the definitive answer will be known, but clearly, we simply aren't there yet

and they have a place about a 10 min walk from my office! Woohoo. I have quite a few cans but I think I'll walk down to the cigar shop and buy a tin. I hope they have some loose as I am really starting to like it.

I dropped into the cigar shop that started carrying it and bought a few tins. It doesnt look like it's selling too well these tins are only a month away from the best by date. I hope the sales pick up it would be nice to be able to swing by and pick up something besides Camel and nice to see a few more brands come this way as well. The funny thing was I figured they would have an icetool for sale there as they were selling los but he had never heard of it before. I told him he should be able to get them from his distributor and that if he were to decide to carry them I would hold off on buying one and be his fist sale . I'll swing by in a few days and see how things are going.

As an asthmatic I'm offended by people saying pot couldn't cause lung cancer.

Non smokers get lung cancer from inhaling all types of things, like diesel exhaust and chemicals involved in manufacturing and even landscaping. To think that straight smoke, of anything, couldn't cause cancer is ludicrous.

I don't smoke the loco weed myself, but I support it's legalization(note: not just decriminilization) and to help the cause, we should all remain very realistic about it. going on about how pot is medicine for all conditions and has absolutely no ill-effects will not help your cause

So much also to our friends who think that it is less dangerous to smoke pot (for example) than to smoke tobacco. With all the anti-tobacco-propaganda it's easy to believe, but it's certainly not true.

And BTW, I didn't join a once civilized tobacco-users-forum more than two years ago to discuss the pros and cons of cannabis-use one day, with people who sound like they still need some basic upbringing.

Do you really expect to find any reliable scientific informations about the health consequences of an illegal drug, a drug that nobody is supposed to use in the first place? Learn to use your own common sense before you believe anything that you've read or even call somebody else an idiot.

The only downside to this forum's popularity are the personal attacks now occurring. Just respect others opinions, refrain from bashing anyone, ribald humor is perfectly acceptable, and lets just all enjoy ourselves.

I picked up some General WP back in December '08 from a local cigar shop in NYC. They had WP, Loose, and Wintergreen along with some Catch. $6 a can. I think I'll stick to GetSnus.

Wow, that's about $2 more than I pay for each can from Northerner, taking into account postage and EU tax and everything.

I went to a place that started selling General. They kept the fridge behind the counter where noone can see it. Too bad, since the fridge is a good marketing tool. They also overcharged, imo: $8 for General Mini Mint seems a bit much.

One thing I noticed is that the General los I purchased in the store seemed quite different than what I get from Sweden. It seems to have a much finer grind and bakes similar to Rhoda or Prima.

I've been thinking a lot about this roll out.

It doesn't anger me that they would sell General here. But when they start making it here, it turns into a whole new game.

I buy Swedish snus because it is MADE IN SWEDEN. They have laws about what they can and can't put in it.

AND the Swedish health studies are done on their snus with their ingredients.

If General starts rolling out, "MADE IN AMERICA". How can we guarantee that it will be the same snus we know and love?

Easy, just keep buying it from Sweden.

Until the day comes that I can't, that is my plan. Besides, other than Oynx, I don't use General, I don't use much of Swedish Match at all really.
