Just looked at the general website

and they have a place about a 10 min walk from my office! Woohoo. I have quite a few cans but I think I'll walk down to the cigar shop and buy a tin. I hope they have some loose as I am really starting to like it.

American chew is pretty low in TSNAs. I'm not sure about the different Euro blends, but I'm betting they're similar. You have to spit with a cheek filled with American chew. Oliver Twist, and the different smallish twist tobacco you don't.

        toque snus! same flavors!

this was like the twilight zone with all your underreactions. I'm practically pissing my pants(though maybe that's this mornings double barrel)

why are they waiting for the UK to wise up? why not sell mailorder now? Well, I can think of a number reasons. but in any case, I'm excited at that prospect, and you UK citizens need to set your government straight. have a snus march to raise awareness

Haha that would be sweet, a horde of bashed up boxers outside no. 10, in nicotine-fueled protest. "Snus! Snus! Let it los!"

I'm affraid that the UK is going to legalize the sale of snus and then tax the shit out of it, and then the US will say, "hey, what a great idea let's tax the shit out of it too, and redistribute that money to the poor non tobacco users and defunct corporations, and call it a Stimusnus package" Then we'll have a Boston Snus Party and things get really ugly...lol

Hmm, I wonder. I mean nasal snuff is not taxed as other smoking tobacco is in the uk, and the health risks are on a similar level I think (in fact, I think some people have suggested that english snuff is safer than snus).

Interesting point rick, the government is this country are very keen on tormenting the lower classes with tax on smokers, etc.

we live in a "kinder gentler" world, governments believe in a redistribution of wealth to help the poor and unfortunate people of the world. I'm not opposed to helping my fellow man, but we also need to reward those that work harder than their fellow man to provide a better living for their family.

This might be a topic for another thread...lol

Do not I repeat DO NOT get these people starting on debating the merits of various forms of government! See "Did you remember to set your clock forward" under People and the World Around Us if you wish to waste 2.5 hours and find out the extent to which member Just Faust is an argumentative tool.

I will refrain from correcting my grammar here because poor grammar gets Faust's panties in a bunch, and he could use a bit more bunch in his britches. Couldn't we all.

I've been reading his posts for awhile, and he's quite bright, and articulate; Especially considering English isn't his native language.

                          He's also correct btw ;^)

Trust me folks, I have been smoking pot every day for going on 20 years now, and this is a topic I pay MUCH attention to. The science has been all over the map. Some studies seem to indicate a much lower risk, even with people who have smoked both cigarettes and pot, other studies seem to show the risk is real.

Unfortunately, as in other situations, i think it is difficult sometimes to separate the science from the politics of it. But each side can find much scientific evidence to back up their side. Why I won't criticize folks who say one way or the other.

It's a non issue for me. pot is so useful in managing my personality disorders (I was an almost unbearable type A personality before I started smoking pot regularly at age 23). I have walked away from it for several months every few years and know it is STILL useful to me, so whatever health detriments that come with it are just not important enough for me to worry about.

I will die some day, so will each of you. I just worry about living as well as I can until that day comes.

I agree with your conclusion. It's obvious to me that inhaling smoke *will* cause problems; I've experienced some of them myself. Like anything in life, it's a cost/benefit trade off, and people should make their own choices based on their particular needs.
