Combination of caffeine and taurine I suspect. The taurine is even more bitter than the caffeine.

Red Bull was invented by a guy who did business in Vietnam. Inspired by Krating Daeng, a Thai energy drink used by Thai truckers and kick boxers, he came up with Red Bull as a way to deal with the jet lag. But the first versions tasted horrible, way worse than what it is now. It took another 2 years to come up with Red Bull's awful flavor so it could at least be sold.

And yeah, although Northerners tastes way better, it is a much different product, one I simply didn't tolerate well. For months, I thought the Elyxr tastes god awful. But over time, i just got used to it. Wouldn't say I exactly savor the taste now, but it is so familiar, I hardly notice.

The thing I like is waking up to the first chirpings of my horrible nasty alarm clock, popping a horrible nasty tasting Elixer, falling back asleep and waking refreshed and ready to face the world ten minutes later. Brush my teeth, pop something nice like a Thunder or a GES and I'm ready to go.

That's largely my routine as well. I'm already miserable first thing in the morning, so what do I care if the Elyxr tastes like a** too. But very quickly, I feel like a million bucks, and ready and energized when i get to work, and sit down to a good cup of coffee and whatever my snus of the day is.

I enjoy being different than must women....but I do wish more women in the US would open their minds and at least try snus....i've offered to people that are quitting and they would rather go "cold turkey" and fail

The real snusers don't seem to mind trying all of it

Every woman that I have offered snus to they sniff the can and say 'it smells a bit like piss'. Apart from my landlady who loves the stuff after I gave her some catch.
