Haha, YES, Skruf Stark Los....I love it!

let me guess, you have a PURPLE icetool?

I find my preference have changed a lot just over a period of 12 days now.
Most everything seems to taste better with tea than diet coke for me.

    So far I'm really enjoying

    Stark Los
    Roda
General Wintergreen- goes well with diet coke, strange it would seem
    Catch Vanilla mint

I'm on the fence with the Gots Rape...but i think i will like it better as time goes on.

lots more to try on the way, portions and los

One thing to be prepared for in your new snus journey. Your tastes will always be evolving. I have been using for over 2 years and, although I have had some reliable standbys for some time now, I expect all of my favorites one day will no longer be. And snus I have never liked, I will come to enjoy. Just something about snus.

I have found if I overuse anything, I will speed that change up. So I rotate through about 20 different snus now, never using anything with any frequency, and it seems to have greatly stabilized my likes.

But knowing that, always go back to a snus you thought wasn't that great. You may suddenly love it.

Except Level, that will ALWAYS taste like bad dirt.

sounds like my 20+ journey with smoking, i evolved through many "common brands" then went to Nat Shermans, Vanilla Dreams, American Spirit.
Started rolling my own, and wow, a whole new world opened up.

Now that chapter is closed  but

It will be a happy day for every homeless smoker,,,,, I'm gonna go on a tobacco give a way spree, YEAH!

See, as a smoker, i was just the opposite. Started when i was 9 with Benson and Hedges. Switched to Marlborough when i was 16, and stayed with that for 20+ years. Shifted between Red, Medium, then Lights, but always the basic Marlboro. Towards the end, I made several changes and now smoke Marlborough Blend 27 the every few months I still buy a pack.

But it was my shifting to snus that opened up my mind to the varieties of tobacco. And with both snus and snuff, I enjoy switching up every few days.

I went the Benson and Hedges route, Virgina Slim in high school.
from then on till 6 years ago Marlboro.

I started experimenting because I moved close to a tobacconist and saw a wonerful variety that I had never scene before.

            that's that story.

I have ADD too. I have read that about nicotine as well as helping with or preventing Alzheimers.

maybe that's why i'm feeling so much better, because i can enjoy my nicotine inside again.

Shit, now I want a cigarette, no no no, I must not, will not. those things

Ahh, but this is the magic of snus. If I WANT a cigarette, I have one. I still love the physicality of smoking, or that special bond smoking with someone else. And I have about one cigarette a month. I just no longer NEED a cigarette, and that makes all the difference in the world.

I think being addicted to smoking and nicotine dependency are two different things (of course not mutually exclusive) and having that can't beat supply of nicotine from snus does change things for ex- or even current smokers. Like you sage, if I have a cigarette, I have 1. Then go onto a portion if necessary.

The morning snus is the most important for me. Not for the buzz (which is nice, albeit relatively subtle) but to first establish a decent level of nic in my blood, to stave off the cig cravings. Once that first snus is accomplished, I am more rational and can make sensible decisions as regards smoking a cig etc. (which I - 99 times out of 100 - don't need, or even want).

Nicotine is a funny animal

                      So true Raddleman.

I keep a can of snus next to my bed. The moment my eyes pop open, i pop a snus. My thinking is much more rational after 5-10 minutes.

                      Snus is totally awesome stuff

next, you have to try the Elyxr power snus first thing in the morning. Tastes like a**, I won't deny. But it is the most wondrous, glorious snus first thing in the morning. Just makes me feel so right.

For those that need or want it, it is a remarkable snus. Not for everybody, not by a long shot. But for some, wow!!!

It is the only snus I would panic if I was out of.

I do agree that for the short time I was on it for mornings, I didn't need a coffee. It is a unique feeling, getting nic and caff in one fell swoop. Is the taste the caffeine, sage?
