i got my thunder lös in today. it was nice, very subtle flavor. the ammonia smell was strong, but it goes in my mouth not my nose so i can deal with it. first impression. this one is a dandy.

My impressions of the loose are not favorable. I've probably been using Skruf Stark for too long, but Thunder is pretty nasty in comparison, whereas the portions are at least tolerable. The flavor/scent is not organic to me, and if I try to think of a quick way to describe it, I imagine a cross between A-1 steak sauce and rubbing alcohol. It certainly is strong, and burns, and warms, and all that, but there are some other elements in there that I don't trust, like the weird menthol cooling thing in the background (and what the hell is that flavor?). This snus is quantity over quality, in my opinion, and doesn't work even as a diversion from Skruf Stark.

Nasty. It's like an Ikea muscle car. And I'm stuck with a roll due to hype, once again. Will I ever learn? :roll:

I just tried Thunder los earlier today, and I was going to post what I thought of it, but you pretty much did it for me. I agree with your description almost 100%.

The only difference is that I don't find it TOTALLY nasty; the taste is just meh.....it does have a strange alcohol/ammonia smell in the tin (reminds me of floor cleaner) as well as a weird backround taste, though. I threw caution to the wind and started out with a normal-sized pris, and I could feel the burn instantly. After 5 minutes in, it was really starting to kick my ass. I can see why all of you nic junkies love it. :wink:

I wanted to like this, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. I'm perfectly happy with V2's regular los offerings right now.

Basically the same feeling as jason and starcadia, good thing I bought 2 cans and not a roll. In addition, it wrinkles/scars my inner lip if I leave the pris in more than 20 minutes. Definitely not a favorite.

Question: If you cut the normal pris size in half does it become more like a mini but with 8mg of nic?

The portions have been growing on me, I have to admit. I've tried the loose again a couple of times, and I still don't like it. Not to mention the nicotine level is just too much. I remember when I first started with Skruf Stark and how a large pinch would make me light-headed and queasy, and how I adjusted to it. I'm scared, honestly, that if I start liking Thunder loose that my need for nicotine will reach a point that will be that much harder to return from.

I'll keep it around for desperate moments when I need a full-on shot, but if just out of concern for my addiction I think I'll pass on regular use.

Finally got the los and it kicked my ass, first time a snus brand has done that in months. The nice thing is I can get away with a tiny pris and still get the nicotine I need. Seems much more balanced than the portions although I have been enjoying those quite a bit.

I got Thunder struck today. It tastes ok, not great, but ok. I have a cold right now, so my opinion on taste might change...

After some trial and error, it looks like a smaller, half-size pris is the way to go for me. This does not do anything for the strange flavor :P but at least it's manageable.

I am going to guess Spearmint. If it is, I am very excited as Spearmint is one of my favorite flavors.

Ok, I have had thunder los for like 2 weeks. I used it maybe 5 times max so far. I keep trying. I think I got used to the cat piss smell, and I love the nic. I'm still having trouble with it though. After an hour this time the cat piss smell came out in flavor. I guess I'm still on the fence.

I've been using the hell outta this stuff.

I've already gone through a roll of the portions (yes, xobe used an entire roll of portions) plus the several cans of loose I have used. I still have a roll of portions and a roll of loose left (and half a can of wintergreen).
