Another option is to try a heavily flavored mini. The nicotine hit might not be as hard as a normal portion, but the heavier flavor would help let you know it's there. Mocca and Wise both make a lot of minis although the only ones i've had are the Mocca+ which I didn't like and the Mocca pomegranite which was pretty hefty in it's flavorings.

Wise Citrus / Menthol all the way!

It is a mini portion but it packs the same punch (IMO) as normal snuses. It is in a very discreet flat oval pack so you don't have that redneck look going on.

I have a tin of em SPECIFICALLY for meeting and training sessions. I teach 4 or 5 a month in front of 10 to 70 people and it's never let me down. Some of the pluses:

Its really small

They are dry so you don't need to keep em cold (I keep em in my brief case)

They are more sweet than normal snus, but still really tasty

They last FOREVER! I mean like 2-3 hours

They also don't stain your teeth. I keep my pearly whites all day!

Did I mention they are small? No lip bulge at all!

The pack says 6mg of Vitamin N but I swear they are more

If you don't like flavored ones they have a flavorless one (Wine and Chef I believe)

Bakerbarber, thanks for the advice, you never know, things could happen the way you have described. It scared me a little bit but I did laugh afterward imagining myself in all those situations.

You should be able to use any of the mini portions discreetly. You can double barrel them for an even more natural look as well. You might just want to grow a big mustache to hide stuff too.

It has to be a big fake mustache with easy on/off. I can put it on in the meetings and if asked about the overnight growth of the mustache, I can tell them that I have been doing snus.

Sal, you don't have to worry about embarrassing yourself in a meeting after you get a good idea how much snus nicotine you can handle, which should only take from a few days to a week or so with a bit of experimentation. As a long-time smoker, you should be able to take a small to moderate amount of even strong snus without worrying.

Exactly my thought and what I was just thinking about. I took two Ettan portions today for the first time and they were good for about 20 minutes and the nic hit /duration was far less than a good-size pris of loose snuss (general, knox or skruf (this is all that I have tried so far)). This is telling me that I have already built a good tolerance for snus since those portions weren't really enough and I didn't get a nice nic rush. I also believe my consumption has been on the rise lately and probably level off and become a fixed amount after a couple of months.

BTW, I checked your site and listened to some of the music - very nice, it reminded me of a German musician/group called Kraftwerk which i used to listen to a long time ago. The music on your site is much more melodic and very nicely composed.

Aw, thanks, Sal. I appreciate it. I sometimes forget that I have my site posted here. Yeah, Kraftwerk did a lot to bring electronic music to people, and I owe a big debt to their effort. I have a couple of their albums, too, and listen to them every once in a while.

The Wise citrus/menthol is very discreet. They are a bit flatter than the other 2 minis i've had, so they are even less noticeable. I'd be suprised if an experienced snus'r would even know if you had one of those little guys in.

The best part of them is the leak. It's not salty like most snus (because they are purified?). Every once in a while you get this little taste in your mouth from it like someone put a tiny drop of lemon juice on your tongue.

Tristik, I did order wise citrus / menthol per your advice on a different thread (I think) and I am sure I will like it. I also noticed they had more wise flavors, have you tried any other flavored snus from wise? From what I have read on the forums, it seems like wise is a quality product and unlike some other flavored products which may have a little cardboard taste.

I am also wondering what you guys consider as flavored. For example is general loose considered flavored? I happen to really like general loose and also Ettan which has a pure tobacco taste (unflavored).

Seems that most if not all snus is officially "flavored", if only because of the smoke additive. General has at least a lemon/citrus flavor added apart from that. I assume a plain tobacco snus might not taste so good. General Salt(tm).

My meeting cocktail is:

Northerner Energy on one side
Kocksnus on the other

I completely forget they're there. Also, they're absolutely invisible. My best friend who has been snusing a while still suffers from the parrot lip. My physiology is different in that it took almost no time for me to find the correct placement/lip stretch for any portion to evade all onlookers. (even my wife)

The Energy supposedly freshens breath!!!

Sorry my man, I haven't tried any of the other Wise products. Although I loved the taste of the one I had, the portions are just too small to me to be satisfying all the time. I don't have to worry about discreetness at work.

Actually, I believe that the snuson study group found that snus causes beard to grow. If you don't believe me, check out the post your ugly mug section and peep my wife's sweet-ass beard.

Took some getting used to in bed, but after a while, it's kind of like cell phones...you wonder how you ever lived without it. :wink:
