Got my first taste of General Wintergreen today. It's like snusing a piece of Wrigley's chewing gum. 0.o

It's rather sweet, which I'm going to have to get used to. It isn't unpleasant, just sweeter than I had expected. I was expecting more of a strait mint flavor, but this one was honestly like I popped a piece of Wrigley's gum in my upper lip. I think it'd do best as a desert snus after dinner instead of a mid-day one. Now to get a more concrete hold of Ettan and Grov.

I'm pretty new to using snus, but I really like General Wintergreen. You can definitely taste the wintergreen flavor, but its not as strong as I thought it would be.

Elixyr makes a peppermint flavored snus, but it can get a little rough on the throat sometimes. General Wintergreen is the smoothest blend I've tried, but also the sweetest. I'm kind of wishing the sweetness was a little more toned down, but it's still enjoyable. I think this'll be one I pop in when the mood strikes me.

i dig GW its good stuff, one thing ive noticed is the pouches are very soft and silky, and the writing on the can is all in english! it kind of has a wintergreen gum/chalky like tums flavor to it,i love both aspects of the flavor, and it has a nice burn to it when u put it in at first. nice long lasting flavor, really wish they made a wintergreen sterk id be all over that snus.

I'm not a big fan of wintergreen stuff in the first place, but General Wintergreen was one of the first snus I tried. At first I wasn't a fan, but eventually it grew on me. Would have to say if I had to have wintergreen, general would be the one.

I'm finding that General Wintergreen is something I would have once in a while rather than in my regular lineup. My usual Catch Eucalyptus is becoming the same; I'm using less of it and more of Ettan and Grov now that I'm getting used to traditional flavored snus. The General is sweeter than I expected, but it's not bad, just different. I've also found putting it more forward in my lip rather than by my canines lets out the flavor slower and is much nicer that way.

The beauty of trying new snus: finding out what you really like. General Wintergreen is good, but something I'd like as a mix up rather than my go to.

                        Thanks!
I figured there might be something like that going on, as I'd only seen it at an American online retailer. And my guess is that wintergreen isn't as popular in Sweden, and it seems that V2's Offroad wintergreen lös flavors were probably created to turn more of us Yanks who are are used to dip, onto snus.

Only made for the US market as far as I know.
GetSnus is owned by Swedish Match so this flavour got it's start here in the states.

General Wintergreen is among a handful of Swedish snus sold in the Tobacco Depot chain of stores in Florida. That means I can pop into my local tobacco store and exit with snus as easily as I once did cigarettes.

My first impression of General Wintergreen was that was sickeningly sweet. It also burned my lip like crazy. I put away the can and worked on others for awhile. But when I tried Wintergreen again, it really, really clicked. Loved the stuff. Used my two cans in a hurry. Went back to buy more, more.

And it was out of stock at the store. Went back two weeks later. Out of stock. A month later. Out of stock. "It's so popular we can't keep it," the owner said. "It's sold out everywhere in Florida." Great, I find one I like being sold locally and it's perpetually out of stock. I tried again last week. Out of stock.

I continue to buy others from the store, and will keep checking back.

I think Swedish Match should sell their Wintergreen flavor nationally. I think it could give Camel Snus a run for it's money. However, I have not tried the new Mellow flavor yet, even though I'm dying to try a can.
