Any ladies that snus out there?

My wife seems to only like the Camel 'Candy" snus. But she only uses it if I hand it to her and ask her to use it. She won't use it on her own, which I guess is a good thing. More for me then. Shes not fond of the swedish snus. Sadly, according to my lawyer, not useing snus is not valid reason for a judge to grant us a divorce.
PPGrant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Any chick who's so hell bent over unusual things, that thinks smoking is better than snusing, is ****ing NUTS.
I realize that there's many of them like this, if not a majority. i don't care, they still don't get my respect. not that i'm saying i'm misogynistic but i like women who are real. not the butch kind. just the kind that aren't all airheaded and flaky about stuff they're not used to. i guess that's a minority for people in general it seems.

IMO, many women probably do believe that snus would be worse than smoking due to the possible consequences from using oral tobacco. I grew up believing that chewing tobacco was the devil because it will rot your teeth away and give you big visible huge nasty lesions on your gums/tongue/lips. Of course, not many women are going to support something which they believe will turn them into a total hideous freak. The effects of cigarettes I guess aren't as scary to these anti-smokeless women, ya know, black lungs, wrinkles, yellow fingers...etc...Anyway, I know I am rambling, not sure if any of you can track what I am trying to say here.

It's funny.. Back in November my wife was the one talking about quitting smoking and I wasn't sure I could do it. I found snus and have had a handful of cigarettes since, she's still smoking.. I've given up trying to get her to try it. I even got a tin of those Velvet Bahama things as a free gift from buysnus, but she won't go near it.. We have an 18 hour flight in July, maybe she'll break down and try it then!

i can understand having a guard up for something you've been trained to think is bad....but what i'm referring to, is that even after they learn it's not as bad, in fact, much less bad if not the same harm as anything else normally harmless, used in excessiveness.
now if they're not a tobacco user at all, fine, but if they're a woman who smokes and looks down on snus (all of it, not just loose of course), i can understand the initial aprehensiveness, but to be just totally closed minded about it i find to be utter stupidity. i hate closed minded BS. i have ZERO sympathy for people who want to continue smoking when they KNOW there's a safer alternative but still refuse to admit it and claim that they're stuck smoking. especially if they regard snusers as a part of their disdain for something different. if one doesn't want to switch to a different tobacco based upon rigid assumptions flying in the face of cold data that refute it but still afraid of the risks of what they currently use, they shouldn't friggin use any of it.. or bite the bullet of ravaged health and looked down upon in return (that is obviously of course if they know what snus is and look down upon it and its users)

I hate to sound disagreeable, but ...
Snusing and smoking are two radically different things. In fact, the only commonality is nicotine from tobacco.
I failed to quit cigarettes last year after I took up snusing and when I did return to cigarettes, it was like being reunited with my best friend. I'm off again, but not one hour of a day goes by without my wanting a cigarette. So don't be intolerant of someone reluctant to give up smoking for this smokeless product. We know snusing is healthier, but most smokers just won't give up for health reasons. They know the truth. They ignore it. That's properly their choice. The smoking habit/addiction is powerful, powerful. It's not about "reason."
Never look down your nose at cigarette smokers with the superior air of a snuser. Pity their dependence on that form of addiction. And help when you can to introduce them to a healthier use of tobacco.

I can relate to what Bob is saying 110%. I am actually on about day 2 now again without a cigarette. I hadnt had one in months, but then WHAM! for no apparent reason, I went right back to it at a full pack-and-a-half per day habit for near 2 weeks. During that time I only used snus maybe 3-4 times. I now feel like dog turd again and am feeling the lung burn that I had grown to hate.
I tell you this... If I found a way to smoke without constantly feeling like a steamy pile of poo, I'd be back on it in a heartbeat. I have grown to love snus, but cigarettes have been my wingman for near 2/3 of my life. It's hard to get used to functioning without them (even with another form of nicotine) when you have formed the majority or your life around them.
Thankfully, I live in the south where oral tobacco is nowhere near as taboo as it is in larger urban areas. Unfortunately, in a bar/nightlife scenario, most women are more likely to talk to you if you are smoking a cigarette than if they see you put a pinch of anything in your mouth (be it snus, dip, or chew).
Thats all I have for now.
