It is safe to swallow the juice that comes from real swedish snus, but it is best to use the portions in a way that very little juice comes out. Snus is simply a vegetable matter (tobacco) which has been treated with salt and a small amount of alkaline substance. Even if you accidentally swallowed a portion which I do not recommend ... your stomach acid would quickly dissolve it just like it would any other vegetable matter you eat.

The increased risk of pancreatic cancer is a reality for all tobacco products both smoked and smokeless - part of the body's reaction to nicotine is to increase the metabolism which is why we all like to use tobacco after a good meal. This puts a small increase on the pancreas and leads to a slight increase in the chance of pancreatic cancer. I can't remember the exact figures but I think it goes from 2 out of 100,000 for non-tobacco users to 4 out of 100,000 for tobacco users! However this risk is tiny compared to the increase in blood pressure and strain on the heart which I don't think that anyone would deny that nicotine can do.

It's important to be informed about the health implications of everything you choose to use ... what I do know is that the risk of a death due to snus is massively lower than the risk of a death due to smoking!
Want to add that recent studies do not link snus to an increase of heart attack. Also, nicotine itself is not that harmful and has been shown to be beneficial treating certain medical conditions. I am not saying it is entirely safe as it does increase blood pressure and heart rate, but in general if you have to use tobacco use snus. I even read another medical report, this time it was done to see if smoking hookah was worse than smoking cigarettes. At the end of the report it mentions that its findings were inconclusive but did show that Hookah smoking was moderately dangerous and still resulted in lung cancer and other cancers resulting from smoking. The report mentioned that if persons should continue to want to use tobacco that they should consider Swedish Snus as it has been the safest proven tobacco to use. If I find the link I will paste it.

Bottom lip. These are made to be used like dip but less messy so when you spit it out you do not have dip in your teeth. I have tried putting these in the upper lip like snus and it doesn't taste good plus I am wary of swallowing dip juice. It is meant to be spat out unlike snus which you can swallow. I do have friends that swallow dip but I would advise against it cause it can make you sick.

If you want to try dip I would say get the loose kind and do it. The pouches are great but do not satisfy the same way a big pinch from a regular can would do.

But put the pouches in your bottom lip either directly in front or just to the side and draw upon it succulently and then spit when you feel the need.

Yesterday I got from U.S.A. a can of Copenhagen and I was really suprised how large were the pouches inside the can.It seems those pouches are three or four times larger then snus large pouch.I 've wanted to try Copenhagen for a long time but now as I got it I simply don't know how to use it and where exactly I have to put it in the mouth?

Don't get me wrong. I don't crave cigarettes at all now. Snus took all my cig cravings away. But snus is the only thing that ever did that. Nothing else worked. Neither pipes, cigars, nicotine gum, Zyban or the various smokeless tobacco products, such as chew, plug or dip, eliminated my cravings for cigarettes (my favorite brands were Pall Mall filterless and Winston full flavor).

Snus did the job. No more cravings. If snus were unavailable I might find it necessary to resort to cigarettes.

Do you think the most of snusers smoke at least from time to time cigarettes?Personnaly I am for two months the snuser only and have never smoked even one cigarette. It seems that's in my nature to be addicted to something and if I don't smoke cigarettes, vaping e-cig,chewing nicorettes, snusing the whole day or eating too much I simply can't survive...
    How about you?

Almost every can of Swedish snus portion has a small box on the top of the can.I've never been sure what is the main purpose of it.Could someone write me about that? The second doubt about snusing to me is still should I have to spit the juice when it comes or not?Ive followed advices from here to put the portion in the front of my upper lip and it really helped to reduce saliva but as I used snus portions for two month already my tolerance of strong taste and nicotine increased and I always swallowed the juice when it came because I wanted to enjoy tobacco as much as it possible and not sure if I did something really dangerous for organism.I red something about disposing of pancreas cancer in enjoying smokeless tobacco.

Yes avoid it. But only if you are worried about staining your pillow and bedsheets. Otherwise i do it and think it's fine though be wary of vivid nightmares if you are getting nicotine into your body while you are asleep.
