I was grocery shopping today. To make it suck less I took a portion of original General, and with the help of my water it was ok to swallow. I guess I'll just keep working on it.
Now that I'm back at home, I just automatically want to spit.

I had to spit a lot for months, used to write threads about it just like this one. Then the problem just went away, and I don't find myself swallowing a bunch of anything except for what I'm drinking. I drink water all day, so there's always something to drink.

I wanted to spit when I first started too as I found the drip overwhelming, never used to having to spit before. Like Rooski says, it just goes away one day.

General is pretty tough to swallow IMO, it irritates the crap out of my throat and gives me heartburn still. The consensus is the smoke flavor they use in it, but I dunno.

It took around a week to get used to it. After a while, you wont notice the burn. I used the mint general and that is very enjoyable and clean in taste. Even when new to it

I had/have this problem with many brands that I have tried and have realized with the help of others here that half of it was because I was putting the portions to far toward my molars instead of my front teeth. Mocha Mint for example did this to me no matter where I put it. That brand juiced to much, gave me hiccups, and and a sour stomach. I can put General Mint anywhere and it doesn't bother my stomach and that was the way it has been since day one. Anyway unless you really like the flavor I would try something else that may not bother your stomach as much or just wait a few weeks and see if it goes away like others have said.

I'm not willing to use any mint or fruit flavored snus. I have some grov coming in the mail, I'll see how that is to swallow. And my order after that is Ettan.

You don't really have to swallow once you get the hang of keeping in your upper lip without squeezing it or poking with your tongue. If you do it right, especially with portions, it shouldn't create any major juice - it should just sit there a little above the tooth ridge. One good tip I got earlier on was to slightly dry the inside of the lip before to help stop any drip from saliva that might be there.

                            Cheers
