I love the concept of a premium los, and not so premium as to be a Kardus release. You have had some quality time with the los Lxskllr, I know some want it a little more pronounced in the flavor department, but I find it just lovely as is. Maybe just more time in the barrel.wiki "Popcorn Sutton" a true COOT!

I'm pretty happy with the flavor as-is. It could /maybe/ be boosted a touch, but then it would be teetering on the edge of too much. What I really appreciate about the GN snus is the light flavoring. You have to work for it a bit, and are suitably rewarded when you find it. Heavy flavor generally strikes me as being cheap. It's an easy way to make things taste good, but that isn't hard to do with heavy flavor. That's why candy is popular with kids. I like being able to taste the tobacco, and have the flavor be an accent to it, rather than tasting like whatever a flavoring company came up with, and the tobacco being merely a carrier. I can enjoy heavily flavored snus, but I much prefer a subtle flavor.Originally posted by whalenI love the concept of a premium los, and not so premium as to be a Kardus release. Exactly! I love probing the Islay Los for all the subtle complexity there. Really a fun and rewarding thing to sit back and muse on the combination of flavors, especially over an hour or so. I have taken to using it on my long assed drives home, where I can enjoy it for up to several hours, very mellow way to deal with what would be a painful drive.
Connie should be very proud, I know I am to have had it.wiki "Popcorn Sutton" a true COOT!

That is exactly my take........at one moment I would think maybe a slight bump up in the flavor.....and the next I would think....what if we tell GN to bump it up and it turns into Probe.......... I would then shudderOriginally posted by lxskllrI'm pretty happy with the flavor as-is. It could /maybe/ be boosted a touch, but then it would be teetering on the edge of too much.
Also the Islay snus did something I have never had another snus do..........it grew in flavor as I went through the can.
It started as a very good subtle Islay flavored tobacco and as it went the Islay became more pronounced as did the other background spices. In fact, the closest thing I could think of to compare it to was a light Jules snus (it wasn't a jules by any means......but there was something in the background flavor that reminded me of a jules).
Now this flavor development may have two explanations………about midway through the can I hopped in the car and drove to PA to the in-laws for Christmas…..so I had more time to focus on the flavor as I drove and the family slept.
The other explanation is that once the trip was underway the can was no longer in refrigeration………the warmth may well have opened up the tobacco (like a good Islay) and let the flavor develop.
One thing I can say for sure is that when this is released……..it is a definite roll buy…..AND….when I get a roll I will try working through a can without refrigerating it……….to see if the flavor opens up again
In the end this is an A++++ snus…………. it and the Coffee are the first two I would buy out of all the test cans that GN sent….When it hits the market……get it……. try it….love it….drive to PA with it…………my bet is it will be an instant classicWhen it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Smoke flavor is bad mojo. It messes me up also. Unfortunately, Swedish Match has the most lössnus flavors, so I'm kind of stuck. I get tired of V2 snus, and most of GN's stuff is stark snus atm. If the new GN prototypes go to market, I'll be a lot happier with things.Originally posted by tattooer601Rough huh...

The smoke flavor seems to be in all the general that isn't mint,or wintergreen....
I had to get a tin of Copenhagen because I don't want to start smoking.
I can't figure out which general has the least smoke flavor, thanks again

I don't really use portions, but if I had to guess, I'd say General White would be the easiest on your stomach for a normal flavored snus. When you get ready for an order, you might like Jakobssons regular Classic. It has a lot of bergamot, but no smoke.Originally posted by tattooer601Thanks for the comment...
