I'm not sure that directly applies to SnusOn. Any given discussion can turn to Nazis, no matter the topic, or its length :^D

    'No one expects the Nazis'

Careful, or you'll get carted away, and get the comfy chair.

Just curious, what are the penalties if they catch you selling snus in the EU?

    First.. Govermant
    Second... People
    Therd ... Pharmacompanys
    Forth ... Cituation
Here are the reasons why we have unjust low on snus
    1) Goverment play double standard , lots of money from cigarettes and pharma company's so why they should alow snus?
    2) People do you remember that anyone one us would scream about our rights taken away?? Women have faminism , black people Martin Luther king , gay people - parades , what we tobacco users got ??
    3) Pharma ...... Lot has been told , nothing to add.
    4) Crises , Greece, Money, tobacco faschism ( why change anything when lies have gone thru and everybody belive in that??)
So till those parameters are in force- nothing will change, people got to have drugs quastion is what kind of ... Alcohol , nicotine , heroin, cocain , Rissians forbidden alcohol in 1985 ... Thay got drugs in country which killing Russia,
.... Does any one asks why we have to tolerate that someone tells me in which position to sleep with my wife , I like missionari but govermant tells me it is dangerous for you hips you have to do Reverse Cowboy .. But listen idiot is this democracy which Greeks inveted ? Is this whay we should live I like fat food and wide hips Goverment tells me you busterd have to like low on calories food and manlike ass, go and f** your self idiots;(

Snus would be taxed so I don't see that being an issue, also don;t forget that alot of the big tobacco companies make snus too (JTI, BAT, Imperial Tobacco etc) so it is very much in their interest to have the ban lifted so they can add another product to their lines, cigarette companies make snus too not just Swedish Match (who also make cigars and snuff!).

Also Altria owns Philip Morris, Gallagher, USSTC (skoal and Copenhagen), Imperial Tobacco and part of JTI, so the argument that its the tobacco companies paying off governments just doesn't wash with me, they stand to gain far more from a lifting of the ban than it remaining in place.

The ban on oral tobacco was based on, now old and outdated research, that happened to be commissioned by a pharmaceutical company iirc.

Would put money on that *cigarettes -> NRT -> cigarrettes* /and repeat keeping the £s coming in.

I do know it's our fault, but i don't remember the 80s Skoal Bandits thing, i've learned all this in the last couple years. Everyone and their mother is talking about safe alternative to smoking now, so i still think the cigarette and pharmaceutical companies have noticed how big safe alternatives have got, along with snus outside of Sweden, and now see it as a direct threat, so they're paying the governments to keep them in business for the next generation of smokers and quitters, and keep the cash coming in for themselves, and tax money for governments.

    Damn UK.

I think I remember the case. It was about Skoal Bandits in the 80s. They linked them to mouth cancer so oral snuff was banned. Goes without saying though the TSNA difference between that old product and Swedish snus would be quite significant to say the least. But hey there's probably no chance they would re-evaluate things now. There are too many cigarrette and NRT £s to loose.

It's a problem world-wide that the old generation of politicians, who witnessed the war and developed a very humanistic view of the world, is dying out and the new generation seemingly is to dumb to learn even the most basic lessons from history. The undemocratic EU government and the utterly moronic snus-ban are only subordinated aspects of a world that on the whole is slowly becoming more and more open to fascistic and technocratic ideas again.

    Cheers!

If we are given a referendum on EU membership (which the people want) it looks highly likely people would vote to leave. We can then buys snus again and it could be sold here too!! Good enough for me!
