Was just wondering if Grizzly and Gold River were good? they are the only two i am able to import (american moist snuff has the same deal in europe as snus has with ... everywhere lol)

    http://estoc.org/SmokelessTobacco.asp

But yeh i managed to find a website that sells outside of the US but only those two or tobacco free versions. Also while im here what about Granger Select, Southern Pride and Red Man for chewing tobacco, which is okay over here but can only find these three (again online).

oh and another also does anybody chew twist? can get this quite freely as its made in UK but wondering if anybody had any experience with it. Oral tobacco really doesn't seem all that popular in the UK lol poor dear ole me

damn me and my insatiable curiosity
    thanx to anyone with input

A lot of people I know that used to dip Copenhagen and Skoal went to Grizzly because it's cheaper. I personally don't like any of the Grizzly flavors I tried because it leaves my mouth feeling like muck. If I had to stay with one flavor I guess the wintergreen is the most servicable. Gold river is really dry and bitter to me- if you've tried Lucky Strike snus then you kind of have an idea of Gold RIver, overall just a really plain tobacco taste.

lso while im here what about Granger Select, Southern Pride and Red Man for chewing tobacco
Granger select, Southern Pride, RedMan- I'm assuming these are all the scrap bag varieties? Granger and Southern Pride are what I would say are an "old-timey" taste that I didn't care for. Again when the tobacco prices went up here people that chewed premium brands like Levi Garret, Red Man, and Beechnut went to Southern Pride and Granger because they're anywhere from a dollar to two and a half dollars cheaper. Out of the two I believe Southern Pride is the better, more flavorful taste.

Red Man scrap- there's the green and the gold bags. The green is moist and flavorful and the gold made me puke. The Red Man dips are supposedly really good. I tried the wintergreen and wasn't very impressed but I have yet to try the other two. I don't know if I could ever go back to dipping now that I found Snus but I am kind of curious as it's a Swedish match brand.[/quote]

I got a can of Redman Longcut straight and it tasted like @$$hole to me. Maybe I'm just used to snus.

Although I almost snus exclusively, sometimes I go for the longhorn wintergreen. I look forward to the burn and quick hit of nicotine and then am always disappointed about the short-lived flavor and nicotine. This is great if I am at home and have a can to spit in. That sums it up....not used very often but cherished for its intense flavor, burn, and nic hit. Disliked for its quick drop in nicotine and flavor. I will still have some once in a while. I am having the wife pick me up a couple of Longhorn when she goes to Indiana to visit some friends (three miles away from the Pidge).
