    What is your favourite-smelling snus?

    Hi guys,

I thought this might make for a fun thread. After all what is the first thing you do after you crack open a can of snus? I think enjoying the aroma of the snus is part of the ritual of using it.

Although I have yet to sniff all snuses, I have tried a fair few, and I just love the aroma of gotlands grå lös, it's like sniffing a fresh straight shot of Pernod. I also have a strange snus that I love the smell of - Mocca Pomegranite. I don't know why, but I love a whiff of this stuff.

    Enjoy the aroma!

I honestly don't often smell the snus. Some contenders are Gotland Gul, Ettan, and Pioneer though. I'd have to spend some real time with them to nail it down to one.

On a side note, does anyone else get stinky hands from baking snus? While the Gotland Gul smells great in the tin, something happens when it hits my skin, and kind of smells like sick baby poop :^D That's the most notable one, but I've had that to varying degrees with other snus.

My left palm is the main culprit for me. Since I use strongly flavoured snuses, I just notice liquorice/anis or mint. Sick baby poop hey, is that the discontinued gotlands you were talking about?

Best smell for me has got to go to general green harvest. Smells like being on a farm.

But the best taste has got to go to roda lacket. Feels the best on the gums too.

Yea, I do. I'm not sure how much. I need to take some time, and get everything organized. I have stuff spread through multiple bags. If I had to guess, I'd say I might have a roll left. I would have tried to get more if I knew they were gonna quit making it. The only bergamot lös still available to me is General, and I'm not a big fan of that. Not only is the bergamot not as strong as I like, I get tired of it about half way through the tin. It tastes good to me when I haven't had it in awhile, but it wears out it's welcome. A lot of Swedish Match snus is like that for me. The only ones I consistently enjoy, are the plainer varieties. Ettan, Grov Röda Lacket...

One of the first things I learned, never smell the snus! Or was it never taste the snuff? I will never forget what the wise man told me - "always, I mean never".

Not sure about snus. But someone said Fubar Grunt the snuff smells like ladies underwear. I just hope the brand name isn't Cockney rhyming slang.

Absolutely. If you like genuine-smelling and -tasting liquorice, you can't go wrong with ld black. Would be nice if jti brought out a lös salmiak, and if they did, how it would compare with OR liquorice.

The original Fubar Grunt did smell like used ladies underwear, with coconut essence. Very odd, but the strength of the snuff makes up for it. I still have an old tin around somewhere. I heard the newer stuff does not have the underwear aroma so something changed with the blending process.
