General Onyx Portions

Is it normal for the tobacco in the portions to be hard-packed into one clump? I have to knead them with my fingers to loosen the tobacco. Of the 10 of so varieties I've tried, none have been like this. I'm wondering if this is how the portions are when they're packaged with the star pattern or if it's just an anomaly of the can I got.

Have not yet received any clumpy star-patterned Onyx. Maybe your next can will be perfect -- or not!!

Star pattern snus tends to be kind of hard. I solve the issue by using lös :^P

I'll agree with the 'hard' but I've not yet had them clumped. I do the finger roll with most portions anyway so it's no big thing for me.

I was using some imagination. I'm assuming he meant the usual rectangular lump at the end of the portion. I've never had Onyx that was clumpy. I really dislike the star formation. It's a great presentation in the tin, but the shape's inconvenient.

Yeah, a teardrop shape might have been better (and really sophisticated).

Not really clumped, just that all the tobacco is in one semi-hard mass. Sounds like it's normal so I'll just continue the finger roll as I'd like to have this snus in my rotation.

I'll get there one day I'm sure. The convenience of portions has been great for quitting smoking but the training wheels may come off sooner than expected...
