    De-re…………desnusing and immediately resnussing
Transplant……………assistance from a friend when your hands are too dirty to put in the can
    Scuba Gear…………….snus in the shower
Zen Master…………undetected los snus during sex
    Tampon…………….we all know this one………………..but we shouldn’t
    Diva………………….Girl who has tried los
    Diva babe…………..even better
Blowout……………..any series of unfortunate events that result in a whole can of snus being spilled
Xanadu………………putting in a fresh snus……….on a clear day……………..while on a mountain trail………………….usually sitting on a granite overlook with nothing but the rolling blue ridge mountains unfolding beneath you

For instance, we call lös-snus "bakis", which obviously derives from bak-snus, and "portis" for portion-snus. The word prilla is used every now and then, but more as a joke - dont think anyone would use that word seriously. And as for pris, I don't think it has been used since the 70s. Also, the word "buss" (which in fact means bus) was a common slang expression a couple of years ago (something my parents would say) for snus.

The common word for can is "dosa", which means "thingy", I think. This is a formal word, and used when ordering in tobacconists.

Another expression I came to think of is called "mullbänk", can't really translate that... It is when you have an unbroken can of lös-snus, which you turn upside down and open it, so that the snus is on the lid like a hockey-puck. Then you put your pinky finger across the middle, and shove half the box into your upper lip, so it spreads from left to right. Won't make you look pretty, but a nice nicotine rush.

I had not heard that rumour, but ofcourse that would not pass without a fight. My experience is that snus is so drilled into our culture that we always get exceptions.. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I am still curious to your uses of the word prilla and pris in this forum. We use/used that as slang for a snus overall, regardless if it is loose or portion. So a "prilla" is not necessarily a loose snus, nor is a "pris". However, since these words originated from very long ago, when there were no portions, I presume that is where the misunderstanding lies. I checked Swedish Wikipedia just to be sure, and they don't make any difference between portion or loose when using these expressions.

Same portion for hours... What's the point of that? I don't know about you guys, but if you just keep putting new portion after another or use the same one for hours you don't get anything out of it. I myself like the feeling, the nicotine rush, that snus gives me. I don't see point putting a new one all the time because your bloods nicotine level is already so high that you don't feel the new one at all.

I put loose snus in every couple of hours or when I wake up, with my morning coffee and after a meal. That's when I get the rush. Most snus taste like shit when it starts leaking, if that is the correct term, so I don't snus for the taste. I use gum to get a good taste in my mouth

I've been snusing for about 6 years now and found the correct ''timetable'' to use snus to get the most out of it. Portion is about 20-30 mins max with drying it first with some paper and loose 30-40 mins max.

I know I went a bit of track here, but the posts before made me open a little

    Cheers
I take a new one immediately after discarding an old one. I think that's due to 2 things: The level of addiction is extremely high, and also it is a habit in itself to always have something under your lip. As for the nicotine rush, I never get them. Or am I in a constant one, don't know. Not even with Oden's extreme, but I have to say it is the strongest i ever tried. WOW.

I mean, i know there are alot of stores and shops in Sweden that got snus ''fridges'', but they do mostly just sell the ''popular'' brand right? Like general( All swedish match products in fact)

So where do you go when you want to have some other brands of snus? Like Odens, Thunder, camel, marlboro and so on.

Are there many shops in Sweden which is only a snus shop, where you can get a lot of rolls and almost every kind of snus that is available?

I was in Sweden a month ago, really wanted to buy some odens and thunder snus, but they didnt have that in th fridges in the ''main'' stores.

    thanks
Almost every grocery store, 7/11 or tobacco-kiosk have fridges. The supply varies, some have the standard ones (mainly Swedish Match, Granit and some other ones). To get the more "odd" brands, you need to go to a pure tobacconist shop (they are everywhere). These shops also are the cheapest, and will give you discounts on increasing quantities (10 cans or more etc).

Honestly, I have never seen Odens, Thunder, Camel or Marlboro in any shop. Then again, I haven't been looking for them. But I have to say that I guess that every single tobacco-shop will stock them, but they may just not be on display. That is my guess.

Well, there are tobacco-shops that specialize in quantity. They advertise outside with signs (Cheap snus here) etc, and this one I normally go to near my home - they stock snus in a huge safe. I would guess that this shop for instance has almost every make available. But I don't think the government would allow a shop that sold only snus- they always sell candy, soda, other tobacco products and often have sports betting.

As many others have stated, I keep it well less than 1 hour. Guessing 20 mins on average, then swap. Not a single minute passes without a snus in my mouth, apart from when eating (most of the time!). And as for lös-snus, I probably take bigger ones than you do. Just me guessing.

dont get me wrong the nic hit is nice but rarely does it effect me after the first portion in the morning ... alot of it is taste to me .. as long as the flavor is still going i rarely spit one out before 2 hrs have passed *the exceptions being time to eat or sleep. its rare that i use over 8-10 portions and day i usually have 3-4 different strengths & flavors in rotation.

You definately get a full hour of nicotine from Odens Extreme, if not more.
The only close second to that would be Thunder Frosted for nicotine exposure.
Any 8mg nic snus I've tried loses it's nic very very quickly.

I want to taste it, but can't keep it in any longer :^D I'm pretty excited about the Odens regular lös. I think that'll be right up my alley :^)
Well this keeps me nicotine sated at least, hah. Thanks to Kevinatest for sending me a truckload of this stuff - It has helped me through many dark hours, but it is a bit strong for regular use.

But today I had one in for 1 hour in school and if I don't remember about having a prilla in there it can't stay for a while.
But I must admit if I use regular portions I will keep 'em in for 1½ hours at a time.
