I've always likened it to meditation. Controlled breathing and rhythmic actions and all.

It depends on the person. I love snus but I smoke some too. Nothing takes the edge off like a smoke break

Also it forces me to step out of a situation where I have been known to gain some good perspective.

Should be going to back to work soon though so I'm looking forward to enjoying snus on the job and not smoking every 20 minutes.

Smoking has great nicotine delivery but it makes my mouth feel like an ashtray for 3 hours after I've put one out, it makes me feel nauseous and it's bloody dangerous.

Thats true GN, but then you also have the psycological addiction to cigarettes, the belief that life won,t be worth living if you can,t smoke, which for some is hard to break.

I smoke a cig every now and then if someone in my house who smokes goes outside and I want to join them to talk about something. Snus isn't really a social thing.

It is worse with a pipe plus smoking easily takes on a hobby-type feel. Cigarettes were great for the quick nic hit especially when I rarely didn't want to take the time to get the pipe ready. Unfortunately for all those years I was smoking I was ignorant about Swedish snus. Sure wish I hadn't been because for me there is now no point in smoking at all. I'm sure I'll load up a pipe somewhere down the road but the daily smoking is gladly a thing of the past. Wish I knew a way to convert pounds of pipe tobacco into snus!
