Got my first tin of loose

    General loose.

BTW nicodude, don't send the loose anymore! I would PM you but you can't receive any more until you clear some old ones out.

    Here goes nothin'.

Exp. date on the tin was 2/2/11. It was in a fridge in the store.

Not sure if it's because it's old or what, but it was hard as hell to mold with my hand, kept crumbling apart and a lot of it ended up in the sink.I finally managed a good size chunk that held together long enough for me to put it under my lip. Got a couple loose chunks on my front teeth but the rest is holding fine so far. I'm afraid to move.

EDIT: On a side note, I got an insane buzz, similar to that of the first time I tried Thunder Frosted ES. Nice.

Bake it over the opened can. Just keep at it, try not to tighten your lip and smoosh the pris. You'll be pro in no time!

Same with me, it was moist, but wasn't holding. It made that noise when you pressed it in your hand as if it had some moisture in it...kinda squishy noise.

So I'm guessing it's typical that it crumbles. Or could be due to it being cold.

EDIT: I'm not pressing my lip at all, it's still holding phew.

after baking 100 prilas you'll make no more mess with los

I just toss my can out of my pocket, throw it on the desk

open the lid, take a pinch, throw it in my lip, enjoy the snus for 45 minutes

without the prila falling apart , toss it out .... and voila ..... Not a single crumb anywhere....

you just need some practice :^)

I don;t even bake the prila .... you just take a pinch and put it in the lip........

Baking the prila too tight doesn't give your as much flavor

Yeah I felt like a 5 year old in arts and crafts class trying to make his first play-doh ball.

whatever you do just keep the lip a bit relaxed not too tight.... don't squeeze the prila inside and DON'T mess it with the toungue...........

                  :^)

Light pressure when baking. Think that you are forming it or molding it rather than squeezing it.

As you have seen too much pressure will crack and crumble it. Los is sturdier than you think....practice makes it so

Once it sets up in your lip you are good to go. Also, make your pris smaller. When I first started on los I would make a monster prilla and it would explode in my mouth soon after I made it. Now I do just about a gram for each pris and I have little issue with mudslides.

Here's the result of my second attempt at handbaking one...much cleaner and faster, even for the second time ha.

Is it a good size? I think I might use loose at home and portions on the go/out of the house.

                        don't know about the size

I usually have 3 times as much as you have in your palm now but it's nicely shaped

if you hate getting your hand dirty head on to Icetool.com if you can spare $40 you can get a nice icetool

That looks pretty damned big to me. It's all personal preference, but I'd make it 50%-66% smaller.

It's a bit bulky under my lip right now, but it's holding well! I saw those..I could buy one now but it's kinda fun making it haha.

EDIT: The first one was about half that size, I think I'll stick to the smaller one.
