Both had gotten dried out to hell and back and even after rehydrating them they still felt rather dry and just didn't float my boat. So I opened up all the portions and emptied out the snus into a can. I did save me a few OPs to try another time. I made me up a ghetto tool from a 3ml syringe as handbaking is still quite a chore, i kinda get it then it farks up. The snus itself seemed quite moist but I wanted to make sure it was a lil more moist so I added a lil bit of water and in the fridge it went for a few days.

Well the other night I pulled it out and and gave it a whirl. I have gotta say versus portioned snus, los gives you flavor almost instantly and the nicotine hit is very much on par depending on how much you use. I like sterks so I made my last few pris nicely sized. I have got to say I am falling in love with los, so much plan on getting a few different brands to try out. Most certain I will pick up some more Ettan, GES, Thunder Frosted and Phantom Brown as I have read great things about them...

For the most part I have been using Ettan los upperlip via my ghetto tool but for shits and grins I lower lipped a big ole pinch tonight before work and omg...Ettan is some damn good stuff.
I'm trying out lossnus for the first time also. I remember trying what you described -- butchering a couple of portions to see if I couldn't bake a pris out of it -- it was much too "dry" to pull off (I didn't go to the extent of watering it up!)

I just opened the can of Roda Lacket los that I placed in my last order, and this stuff is surprisingly easy to work with! I had no trouble at all hand baking a pris, but then again, this stuff has quite the reputation for being an easy hand bake. I'm actually surprised, that around 45 minutes later, it doesn't seem to be falling apart at all. I was this to be messy compared to portions, but quite the contrary. Give Roda Lacket a shot!

      hehe

roda lacket, general loose and skruf xtra stark or stark loose are the easiest to bake... :^)

      I don't bake ... I mean.... i don't "really" bake...

I like taking fairly sized pinches out of the can .... and they never fall apart if you know how to maintain them in your lip :^)

So I got my order in today and with my normal order or portions, I ordered five cans of los. One each of Ettan, General ES, Phantom Brown & Blue and Roda Lacket. I whipped out my ghetto tool and made me a nice sized prilla with Ettan. OMG, this stuff so so damn tasty. A huge difference over taking some portions and hacking them up to make los. I figured it would get my feet wet enough for me to take the plunge. I am really really digging los snus.

I've been back and forth on the Los vs Portions debate of my own. Portions are easier, but the last portions I had, I just wasn't enjoying it. My issue with los was I could never seem to get it comfortable, and I didn't like how it mashed in my teeth, and then if it breaks up etc. But, I find something special about a can of los, just looking at it, smelling it, and the taste is so good, it's almost edible. I'd like to love using los, and am giving it another go. It may be a lot about experience, and really getting used to it. I am currently using los, it's the only type of snus I have right now, and I think with time and experience it gets better.

I find using los at home when relaxing...for the most part out on the town, work, etc I use my portions. Its something about los that gets me, I love it.

I guess the only things I'm missing now is an Icetool and a slim can

I've been out of the Snus game for over a year now, and I'm really wanting to dive back in. Have to wait for payday to order some snus. Definitely closing my eyes and jumping headfirst into los this time. Until then, it's American "snus"

Good luck on the los adventure...I am glad I finally took mine. If you haven't tried los I suggest Ettan, General ES, Roda Lacket, and Phantom Brown & Blue! I ordered those recently and I can say each one is rightfully damn good.

Phantom Brown is damn good stuff. It's different and takes getting used to, but it's a steal at 15 bucks a roll. I'm sure the same can be said for Blue I bet seeing how it has a cult following. I wanna grab some Phantom Brown, Phantom Blue, Offroad Original, and Thunder Original Loose on my next order. Anyone tried the Offroad here?

Offroad loose is very good, I wish I had some but I sold off what I had.
One thing I tend to do is handbake the prilla too big, so watch out for that. I just made a homemade portioner, I had one before but I don't know what I did with it.

Where do you get Phantom Brown for 15 bucks a roll?

But someone said also it's $20 for shipping to the US. Still not bad if that's right.

That's real good. About 3.50 a can on a single roll without having to order bulk

Here is how I look at it. Portions are like hookers. You throw it in quick and forget about it. Its fun and gets the job done. LOS is like your wife. You warm it up with your hands for a bit and enjoy it slow
