Los is awesome stuff, I am glad I tried my lil' experiment. I like my portions still but finding using los very relaxing.

It's hard using portions after using lös for awhile. I use the occasional portion, but it just isn't as enjoyable.

        Totally agree with this statement!!
I just jumped full time back on the los train after being probably 75% portions for the last 4 - 6 months. Have to say i'm really enjoying it again. I spent 3 - 4 months los only then pact happened. All i could get was general portions for the longest time, then some general los started making it's way into the store. Right now have in some Ettan los, definitely one of the best. Been really enjoying the OR Lakrits, very good, long lasting licorice flavor. Reminds me a lot of Bassett's licorice allsorts that i used to eat as a kid. Still got a can of OR Frosted i'm holding off opening till get a few cans finished.
When i got home tonight i threw in a Thunder berry portion, that took a long time to get comfy on the gums, guess i'll be riding the los train for the foreseeable future.

That is so true. I started with portions and still like them for their convenience. Have noticed several times when out and about using portions that the thought of returning home for a few clicks of los sounded really good.

It does...I love the fact that when I am at work for 12-16 hours that when I get home two things are coming...cold beer and delicious los. Absolutely wonderful feeling.

I would probably use lös exclusively, for the richer experience and the greater value, but my job has changed so that it's become much less convenient to easily get rid of a pris when needed. I've yet to find a portion snus, that has a brother lös version, that is in any way superior. Just no contest. In fact I've yet to come across a lös I don't like while there are plenty of portion versions that I simply cannot tolerate.

My favorite part about los is it opens up a whole new world. Even the same brand will taste differently in between portions and los. It kind of doubles your options.

Very true Vegan...I found with Ettan White & OP I really didn't like them all too much. But when it came to Ettan los, I fell in love with it almost instantly. Its gonna be rather interesting when I place a "los exclusively" order. I am looking forward to the experience.

A question for more experienced loose users, regarding the grind. Do coarse grinds tend to hold together better in the mouth?

So far I've tried Roda and Ettan, and after half an hour or so, the pris had flattened out and spread all around, going down in between my teeth. Put me off using the stuff, truth be told.

Was thinking of trying a couple of coarse grinds, like Grov or General to see if there's any difference.

Not sure if i'm considered experienced but i'd say the answer is yes, they can be a little "chunkier" on the gums though.
You might also want to consider Offroad los, it is very easy to handbake and holds together very well. I tried some over a year ago and wasn't too impressed but have recently revisited it. Been on the licorice for a few days now and i am impressed with that. Have a can of OR frosted i haven't gotten into yet that i'm looking forward to trying out.

Cheers, I'll add Offroad to the try-out list. Also got the Phantoms on that list.

Teeotee's got it. I'll qualify the "stay together" part in saying that it doesn't necessarily stick together better than fine snus, but it's easier to control and manage. . The pieces will separate like they do with fine, but you can keep them corralled with your tongue. You also get the benefit of nibbling on delicious morsels that have some body to them :^D

On the whole, my preference is for coarser snus. I like the heavier body.

Cool, that sounds like what I'm after. Next pay day I think I'll make a little coarse los sampler order.
