    Swedish Match 8mg portions

Or any US available portions for that matter is what this applies to: Why do they all have harsh qualities to them? I've recently been lucky enough to try out Lucky Strike White and Camel OP and one thing I can say about both, especially Camel, is that they are delicious and nothing stands out to turn you away from them. No overbearing salt or pepper or overdone smokiness (Lucky original may be a different case) and I could see either one of them being a great all day every dayer for me.

Why does Swedish Match feel the need to use formulas that are so heavy in salt or pepper or so citrus based they turn on you eventually? I'd love to use strictly 8mg portions but unfortunately I don't like any that are available. Sure, Ettan White and Tre are pretty mild in these aspects but they're also TOO mild....

I don't know, does any one see where I'm coming from? And am I missing out on a portion that is similar to Camel and it's mellow tobacco, light bergamot low salt goodness? I haven't tried Granit or Knox yet... Maybe I should?

Yeah, Grov just came off as being too smoky for me. It's a real bummer when you find your perfect snus but you can't buy it. Does General long solve the horrible problens of General OP like tasting as if someone poured a shaker full of pepper down your mouth?

No not to the extent of the op. Since i tried the longs I cant handle the flavor from the originals portions. The flavor is way more subdued by comparison. The general taste is still there but its way less peppery. Its good stuff if you've never tried it before.

You could try the Phantom line. I'm not a fan of the portions, but the lös is pretty good.

I've got some bad experiences with Phantom Brown white that turned me off to Phantom but now that you mention V2 I quite liked Offroad Original last time I tried those portions... That was before they started making their portions bone dry though so things may have changed but for $17 heck I'll take a shot in the dark and order a roll. Thanks lxskllr.

Each company is very "signature" in the way they do things. Everyone has a formula that is very unique to that company.

                  Example:

Swedish Match - Citrus and pepper. Pepper is very common.
F&L - Subdued flavors, very average - muted, but pleasant.
                  V2 - BOLD.
American tobacco - TOO DAMN SWEET.

                  Etc, etc.

I think it's that everyone has a unique flavor that goes with them. Companies, particularly.

Granit is wonderful. The flavor is similar to Lucky Strike, sans the smokiness. It's pretty cheap too, even though it tastes like it should be a premium brand. You will probably love it.

Like I've mentioned before a Nick and Johnny 8mg would be perfect. I use one portion a day before I go to sleep. The flavor to me is incredible but I don't want to throw my nic tolerance off so I won't enjoy reg portions and los. I know I can make a bigger pris but I want to get the most bang for my buck with los.

The Granit sounds great. I guess I'll try it and some Offroad and decide which one I like best. I'm with Eric, though. A Nick and Johnny 8mg would be perfect.

I can see where you're coming from: Swedish Match original portions have very strong, sometimes bitter, flavours and that's the way they are. Stick to whites and General Silver for milder experience. And Lucky Strike OP's are very moist and flavoursome, very pleasant in my view but some might disagree.

I like Kronan. And that's very cheap.
