That's pretty cool! There are a couple tobacco shops in downtown SF that have general, but I'd be excited to see it somewhere more accessible and main stream.Originally posted by spirit72 View PostAnd now they're screwed, anyway. Because I just came home from Speedway with a cappucino for my wife, and 5 cans of General.

Well, I believe Speedway is a national chain, so that's a good omen. The initial offering in tobacco shops must have been successful enough that they decided to test it more widely, and Ohio is a pretty popular test market.Originally posted by Mr. Snuffleupagus View PostThat's pretty cool! So Ohio snusers? Head for Speedway and help it along.

I've never seen Skoal Snus. I'd buy it in a second, if only to piss my money away but I'd want to try it. I think I'd have a little more faith in Skoal than Marlboro and Camel, but not much...they do make some mighty fruity dips. I used to enjoy them, but not really anymore.
As for the other American ones...I've tried Camel (blech) and Marlboro (blech blech) and I won't try any new formulas unless I read some rave reviews from the good people on SnusOn.

I never had it, but all reports I read said it was horrid. You see the occasional Camel fan around here, and in general. I never heard anyone say they enjoyed Skoal snus.Originally posted by WickedKitchen View PostI've never seen Skoal Snus. I'd buy it in a second, if only to piss my money away but I'd want to try it. My girlfriend just bought a pack of marlboro reds and it came with a box of snus attached. There were like 6 packets of 4 in each of them.
They're reaaaally pushing hard to get Americans to try out their snus. Ironically, the camel snus is what got me looking into real snus...which made me never want camel snus again lol

Yeah I think I'm going crazy sometimes wondering why they sell snus at all. Camel is decent enough I wonder if they're just a little stupid or they tested it on their kids or something, but marlboro is unusable rich was bad, peppermint was ok (compared to gum I guess but it looks white and feels gross), spearmint was the best overall, and mild or now amber is just horrid it's like vomiting up maple syrup and adding sugar making that into a strip surrounding rich, overall I say rich wins since it doesn't have a little listerene strip around it, I've also wondered what the tobacco in it even is It's like tobacco dust but then there's little small sticks of what looks like cigarette tobacco or cigar? So far I think it's the floor sweeping of the black and mild factory mixed with expired dip sent back to the factory.

Saw a sign today, Marlboro snus in a CAN! Bolder and bigger... I saw 2 flavors, RED which I assume is regular, and Green mint. This could be a Triumph type snus, lets all hope it turns out okay.

Next time you're at the store, could you take a picture of the ad? I'm curious to see what the cans will look like.Words of Wisdom

Yeah I'll try to, it was the first time I seen the Marlboro snus sign. The can actually looks the same as their Marlboro dip did a few years ago.
