There's no such thing as illegal cybersquatting. Those (few)rulings were drafted by criminals to further their corporate puppet masters. If the domain is available, it's free to buy. I know almost nothing about running a business, but I do know you purchase any free domain name extensions you think are relevant. That's what free capitalism's about, not having your corporate interests propped up by the government.

Snus Central does not sell to countries in the EU.

I'm no legal expert but I could make the case if Larry wanted to claim rights to the Snus Central name in the EU, and does not sell to the EU, he'd be the one guilty of cybersquatting in the EU. Now if someone has the right to use the name Snus Central in the EU, wouldn't they also have the right to register snuscentral.net?

as far as Trademarks in the US you can do a search here: http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/index.jsp

searching for SnusCentral as a trademark comes up empty, (that doesn't mean they don't have one though.)

The way I look at this Northerner thing is....... Don't hate the players, hate the game.

All is fair in love and business.... There is not ONE single corporation/conglomerate that hasn't done something we would call underhanded to get ahead. Stepping on people/businesses to further your own career/business is just the way it goes. Is it fair? No. Is life fair? Nope.

Marlboro snus is a non-player, it doesn't exist as far as most people are concerned. Northerner's goal is to to sell snus, and my goal is to buy snus, so we're on the same page. What benefits Northerner benefits me. PM's goal is to sell cigarettes. I'm for selling cigarettes too, but only on principle. What benefits PM doesn't concern me outside of academic interest.

Marlboro Snus is purposely a terrible product to sate the American inquisitiveness concerning less harmful snus products. It serves two purposes: to be sold as a product to complement a smoking addiction, and to turn people off from snus.
