newb question: Fridge or no fridge?

I just received my order of mostly white snus but a few original and strong portions. I am not opening any of them yet so should I keep them in a box in the fridge? I want to keep them moist and good.

I'd keep 10 or fewer in the fridge, but if you have more than 10, put all but 1 tin in the freezer.

      Whites are generally on the dry side so I wouldn't worry too much about them;
      room temp should be fine.

The moist ones I would refrigerate; stick them in some kind of tupperware-type
container so they don't pick up odors/flavors from the fridge.

Freezer is good for all of them; Ziploc freezer bags are perfect.

      YMMV...

Put one of each type in the fridge, open and try them all. Duplicate cans go in freezer bags in the freezer.

Refrigeration helps maintain the pH level.

I freeze ALL my snus... If I'm home even the one I'm using is in the freezer.

They come out to come with me during the day but once I'm back home they go right back in the freezer.

No wonder your reviews are all lame LOL j/k. I love snus straight from the freezer.

                Snuffy's drunk.

As for the question at hand, I don't even care anymore. Long-term storage goes in the freezer, but anything I'm using or will be using in the next week or four, I don't really care where it is.

Depends on how long you are waiting to open them. They'll stay moist a good long while in the fridge, i prefer the freezer though except for the one i'm working on. That pretty much stays out until i'm done with it.

I keep everything in the refrigerator and never freeze it. I have snus thats 6 months past date with no issue.

                        My rule:

Refrigerate: if you will use the snus before the expiration date.

Freeze: if you will not use the snus before the expiration.

I fridge only what I'm using at the time. Two reg portions, one sterk and one los. The rest is in the freezer. I keep 10-packs of cans vacuum sealed and usually open one or two packages at a time. The vacuum sealed ones will stay fresh for years.

I've just been leaving my unopened cans in a plastic container closed out in room temp. I'm not sold on the freezer thing, I have a feeling it dehydrates them. But then, I think some cans are just more dry than others. I don't know for sure. I don't see the need though, no one freezes or refridges dip(at least not the stores, that I know of). The best cans I seem to get are ones I just get in the mail, and those have been out in the natural temps. Often when I'd freeze cans, I'd get one and it would seem dry.
