    SNUS exceeding cigarette costs

    ~~
So, i've placed a few orders, post-PACT. highest for 2 rolls i've paid is 85 USD.

I just made an order for a roll of Thunder WG, and a roll of the General long Sterk (on discount), and it was 114 USD with shipping and taxes...

This is almost 6 dollars a can...for 2 of the cheapest deals on snus there are. I am so completely PISSED about this that i actually made a topic about it. You can get bargain basement cigs in wisconsin (one of the highest US tax states) for under 6 dollars a pack. But now, my highly reduced harm reduction snus is cost me equal prices for the same level of cigs (counting the discounts).

I am absolutely flabbergasted and don't know what to do. I can't pay ~120 dollars for 2 rolls of snus, that's just retarded. It's cheaper to smoke cigarettes.

Phillip Morris wins. You ****ing bastards!

The taxes have always been a problem everywhere and we just have to comply with them.

Whilst a can of snus normally sells for a little over $3 we end paying $6 or $8 per can.

I live in Europe and the average I pay for a can is $8 which is pretty annoying (it's nearly 3 times the price that the retailers sells it for)

The a free tax section on Northerner.com (only for non-US though)

You can get tax free snus there. (If you have anyone in Europe that can order it for you and have it shipped in the U.S then you'll get them a lot cheaper, only paying the extra bucks for the shipping. There's only 6 or 7 types of snus there but definitely some of my favorites.

You can order 4 rolls of portion snus for $140 including shipping.

Let me know if you need help I can have them shipped to you.

Yep. The taxes are very annoying and I even though of going to sweden once and on my way back I'll pick like 400 cans of snus and hide them in the car somewhere to avoid the taxes

While getting Jako's WG and Thunder frosted shipped from you for cost is very appealing (and all I'd need), I don't trust anyone on the internet. No offense meant, but if I can't do it myself, i'm just not going to do it.

        Not offensed mate

        I'm just trying to help.

        If you're a 20 cans / 30 cans a month user then definitely it's more expensive.

Not if you would buy them in the shops. ($3 - $5 per can)

Northerner.com, Buysnus.com, Snus.com and everyone else are just getting so annoying with all the taxes added to the orders, I didn't understand how they're calculated anyways.

If someone could explain what the sales tax is .. I've been paying it for ages and don't even know what it is ..

Where I am $6 a can for copenhagen or skoal is the norm. It's no problem at all to pay $6 for a tin of snus!

People in Europe end up paying $8 - $10 per can after all the taxes are added.

Dip ordered from U.S is slightly cheaper I've paid roughly half the price as I would normally pay for snus for the same amount of cans.

            Again, I can't explain why...

It's from U.S too.. should be more expesive since I'm in Europe.

One thing. Yeah the price is going up. However, you will go through probably 2 packs of cigs a day when one snus tin will last you a few days, so right there your saving over half the money.

A can of potion snus lasts me 3 days.
A can of lรถssnus lasts me 5 days.
compared to my previous 2--3 pack a day cigarette habit snus is a bargain.

Yea, even with high prices snus is still generally the better deal, but it's galling to pay money to a thief. Taxing goods at an exorbitant rate is unethical, and a symptom of a morally, and socially corrupt government.

I can get cigs here under $3 a pack, and Kayak dip is $1.68, and Copenhagen is under $4.
I paid what I think too much for my post-pact order, I still have some cans left... but I am contemplating not buying more. But I do have a local place here, that I have not been too, that I heard sells General for $3 something.... so....

If a can last 3 - 5 days then it's definitely cheaper than cigarettes.

But if you're living in Europe and consuming a can a day then it's a lot more expensive.

You can always see if Jaks will grow on you and join the VIP club. They even have a monthly option where you can get a roll every month for $30.00. I would be thrilled if they started including more brands such as Gellivare and Northerner Oomph (hint, hint).

This just in, everyone must start growing tobacco themselves to get snus.

                            LoL

                            Or make snus at home

What bothers me is all the high taxes that are added to the final price ...

I mean a can cost roughly $3 and we end up paying 3 times as much

                            It's not FAIR.
