Good snus but the claim is deceiving. No drip snus my ass! This shit has some of the WORST drip ive ever seen. My teeth are friggin brown as hell. So much for subtle snusing in my tobacco free college campus! The flavor is good though. Hints of cedar and a general outdoorsy taste. Anyone have a technique to put this shaped portion in my lip to get no drip? With the regular portion size, i did near the center of my upper lip and that worked great. Is there some trick I dont know?
not a big fan of this one... just opened up my first can and its not what i though it would be. I like the size of the portion and the no drip, but the flavor just doesn't do it for me.
This is not a rebuy. I do think the flavor is pretty good, but I don't like the portion shape. I find it less comfortable than the standard design. It's too cylindical, and round. I have to knead with my teeth as I switch sides. And the "no drip", I don't even know what that means.
There's a looong thread on 0102 below the stickies here, that is well worth scanning. It begins with a looong and admirably thorough, rave review by Chadizzy, who MUST have been doing more than just nicotine at the time, to have discovered so much "complexity" in this line.
I'm three cans into a half-roll. Pros: nice, all-too-mild tobacco flavor; nice, mild physical bite; good nicotine release; the flavor and bite is long-lasting... I've kept portions in for over ninety minutes without noticing much lapse.
"Complexity?" Well, I did run into a clump of portions that seemed to have a lot of smoke -- like a tin of kippered herring or something. Do you like kippered snacks? I like kippered snacks.
Cons: Kippered snacks are an occasional-treat thing. And I only encountered the flavor that one time. Most of the time, 01 is just... nice. Too nice, too mild, won't inspire a re-order.
Folks who are looking for a mild tobacco-forward snus for everyday use might want to sample 01. Maybe my opinion of this line will change by the time I get to can #5 (unlike some other snus I've sampled, the rest of the 01 half-roll won't end up in the freezer, at least). Maybe I'll find whatever elf granted Chadizzy the gift of discerning greatness in 0102.
I posted a bit in the aforementioned 01/02 thread, though I only had tried 02 at the time. I just opened up a can of 01 recently, and I've had about one portion a day. I like them, and they go well with coffee. They have a sort of nutty flavor that's pretty nice. I'm not wild about them, and the portions are just a tad longer than I would find ideal. I don't look to be buying rolls of this, as they are drier than I like, and the flavor is just too sort of generic. On the plus side, 01 seems to be one of the longer-lasting flavors of portions.
I was very pleased to try this 01. I was a bit put off by the portion shape initially but I think that was because I was not used to it. It's long, but not as long and thin as the US Camel junk.
The flavor is bold. I do taste woodsiness and deep tobacco. The flavor lasts quite a long time (I've had one in for about 2 hours before w/o really noticing that it was the same snus) but it does drip. In fact I think it's dripless for the first half hour or so but then again with enough fluid they all drip. I find it softer than the white portions yet drier than the regular.
The interesting thing about this snus is the nicotine level. It's a standard portion so the nic isn't any higher than the rest but it hits you real hard. It's the biggest kick I've gotten out of a regular portion and for that reason alone it has a place. It's a good snus that I can use all day if I needed to but it's almost like they sprayed nicotine on the pouch after it was made. The 02 is almost too much of a kick in the head. I can't do two or three of them in a row.
This has become a go-to snus for me. Mild flavor that never gets bitter even after 2 hours. I like the shape as it doesn't drift down to my gum line as all the other regular shaped snus do. Good for when I want a little more stealth.
The flavor for me is actually milder then Ettan white so if you like strong flavored snus this may not be for you. It has a very inoffensive flavor, mild tobacco with a bit of herbs and nuts thrown in. For those that have a hard time with traditional bergamot snus this is a very good alternative.
Being the huge Thunder fan that I am, I've decided to give Thunder white portion a try. I thought I'd review the white portion, and give a little feedback...
